What scares me more are "lite brites", driving with their cellphones illuminating their faces as they slowly drift to the left....slowly drift to the right....slowly drift off the road. And every single time I use the millennial "alarm clock", !HONK!, to wake them up and save their lives, and mine, I'm greeting by angry birds of the middle finger genus. Never mind the blue-hairs! It's the blue-streaked hairs that'll get ya!

You think that’s bad? I attempted to read that book a few years ago. One of maybe three in my life I didn’t bother finishing.

LOL now that’s an awesome memory!!
I would be laughing my ass off too!

You’re right, I loved unbreakable and want to see split. But just seems like everything else is crap (the village, lady in the water, etc)
I can get your hang up. I’m somewhat similar, I won’t follow the “masses opinion” just because.
Hell, I hated the last avengers movie. Too damn cluttered, and almost got my head bitten off at my last job. No one likes Man of Steel with Cavill, I loved it! LOL

I haven’t even seen a quiet place. Just looked boring to me.

Lately I’ve seen an increase in guys with their phones in holders stuck to their windshields pretty much right in their face.

Obviously an unpopular opinion, but here we go. I actually liked the movie :notsure:. I think Sandra B did a fantastic job and it was an interesting story. There's theories out there that suggest the "monsters" were mental illness or racism or demons, and I think that's pretty neat. Bird box was originally a book, so those of you thinking it's a ripoff of a quiet place, it'd be the other way around. To me, a quiet place and bird box are VERY different. The only similarity is the fact they have to stay quiet or the monsters will find them. That's like saying talladega nights is a ripoff of the fast and the furious because they're both about cars.

Man...I feel ya not wanting to be pressured into things. Same reason I hated Nike and loved Reebok, I wanted to be different than main stream.

Having said that, I think you should reconsider watching the movie on your terms. It's a classic.

    Or don't...you do you.

Hey, if you liked it, you liked it.

I’m apparently very wrong in my opinion according to FB LOL
I’m just not a fan of ironical endings like that. Leaves me dissatisfied with the movie as a whole.
As far as the what the underlying message of the movie was, that’s entirely open to debate and some fall apart when put under scrutiny, leading me to believe it had nothing to do with current issues whatsoever.
I’m all about a noble message/parallel, but in my opinion, this one could have been executed better.

I didn’t know Bird Box was a book, I might (MIGHT) have to read it (as we all know books are entirely better than their movie counterparts)

Besides all that, Sandra B is a GREAT actress and her acting was great, just not my cup of tea.

Cult classic for sure (which cult? not sure), not really a chick movie. You have to want to watch it, and maybe a few times to appreciate.
