What sort of compensation deal should I ask of this Firestone?

Back during the summer I installed a 3/1 level and had the truck aligned within a week at a Firestone place. I went ahead and had the guys do the lifetime alignment since the truck only had about 12k miles on it. I have been noticing the tires are wearing on the outside edge and took it back in this last week to have them recheck the alignment. Sure enough, the alignment was off and they corrected it. I asked the guy if he would make some sort of deal on the next set of tires for the truck since it was their fault that the current set has irregular wear. He basically asked me what sort of deal I want and said he will work with me when the time comes to replace them. So, my question to the forums is, would a set of tires at cost be asking too much? Maybe just two of the tires at cost (since only the front two tires are worn)? Open to suggestions. Also, and Firestone guys on here that would know what a set of MTs at cost would run? Thanks in advance.

I think 2 at cost would be more than enough compensation. In fact, I wouldn't ask for any at all or give any at all if I were them. They aligned a modified vehicle. It is difficult to get alignment right on these trucks with 3" up front and stock uppers. Did you install upper control arms with your lift?

Did you get the print out of the alignment numbers after the previous alignment? If it was all green, it isn't their fault that the alignment was off and you didn't notice until your tires wore. There are many things that cause alignment to move. This is why there is a business for doing it. I'd also bet their "lifetime alignment" is just free alignments when you determine it is needed, it doesn't mean it lasts a lifetime.

Yes I have the print out of the first alignment. I completely agree that it doesn't mean that once they align the truck that it'll stay aligned forever. However, I feel that if aligned and only driven smooth highway miles for a couple months that it shouldn't have been wearing the tires improperly. You could look at the truck from the front and see that the tires looked slanted. To me if you run a shop that says we will align this truck for you and you tell me it is good to go then it's on you. If they couldn't align it because it was modified they should say that.
I did not install new UCA's with the level kit. I haven't gone in to make a final deal yet as there are still quite a few miles left on this of tires. I think I'll just ask for a set at cost and maybe the warranty certificates as part of the deal. Seems fair to me.

I wouldn't count on getting anything out of them. Do yourself a favor and go to a local 4x4 shop for a real alignment instead of toe-and-go.

If you’re gonna wait, at least get something in writing for whatever compensation you’re trying to get.

Here’s the printout of my alignment after my readylift 3/1 was installed.

The values are in spec but the camber and caster are near the limits. Given that you installed a leveling kit without installing some type of upper arm to compensate for the camber or caster, I believe they performed an ok alignment. Unfortunately when you lift the front end it is at the sacrifice of the alignment values. How were the before and after values from the last alignment?I don’t see this as the alignment shops fault but hopefully they can gain a customer for life by stepping up and helping you out.

I’m not the OP. Just sharing my alignment after a leveling kit. I understood what I was sacrificing with the 3/1 kit. But I’m happy they got it as close as they did. I’ve seen some that have been pretty far off.

Sorry for the confusion. @Okietundra can you post your alignment sheet so we can take a look at the values
