Help truck just died

    Hey I’m jody justbjoined forum and already need help my truck just died while driving and now won’t start the a/t oil temp light is on and the vsr vsq light as well anyone have any ideas.

    Find a schematic and make sure the wires leading to the sensor are good. Check all your fuses. Under the hood and in the kick panel on the driver side. Also who has been changing your oil? I suspect dealers aren’t always changing out the filters because they aren’t the easiest to access.

    Welcome Jody, and sorry to hear your first post is an issue.

    What led up to the truck dying? Was there any indication prior - or just running at XXMPH and it shut down? Any headlight dimming or indication of loss of 12V power?
    I would assume truck is not low on fuel (have to ask).

    I wouldn’t do a hard reset on the ECM. Clears all codes and then you may not be able to properly troubleshoot.
