Getting new tires and rims put on as we speak but I have a concern. It’s seems my tires have cambered back in after the alignment. Any idea why this would happen? Dealer is going to look but wasn’t sure whether it’s something simple or if i did something wrong when I installed the 5100’s. Note they are set on top setting

Do you have your alignment specs and a picture of your suspension?

Did you take pre and post lift measurements?

I'm assuming you don't have an aftermarket upper control arm?

I don’t have my alignment specs but I’m going to go back by the tire place and get them.

Stock UCA. Also didn’t do measurements. Dealer said it’s looks fine after the bigger tires.

I will keep an eye on it for now

Do you have a pic of the setup?
Sometimes people install the lower perch upside down which provides more lift than it should.

Yup looks like you have some positive camber there.

Still curious what your suspension/coilovers look like to rule out the spring perch and of course the alignment spec sheet.

On the top setting there really shouldn't be an issue getting camber at 0, though you may have to sacrifice some caster. Looks like all they did was get you "in the green" without much regard for what the actual specs are.

At least in my experience, you need to tell them what you want. Before changing my setup I had the 5100 top setting with factory arms. I had to give up caster to get my camber where I wanted it.

I was painting the calipers earlier and took a photo of the suspension. Not sure if this helps

Took a photo of this the other day when I stopped in. Said everything is still to spec but I know something is not right. 600 miles on the tires and i’m already seeing a small amount of wear on the outer edge

Too much toe, your cross toe should only be around .14 at least in my experience and what I've been reading on the other people's alignment sheets.

Toyota has even adjusted their toe setting on the model year 18 Tundra is to be .07 with a cross .14

Just came across this photo of your spec sheet and I’m curious. I just took my truck for its second alignment and on my first spec sheet, at the top under the barcode, it said “OffRd” but on my second spec sheet, it doesn’t say that. Also, the spec ranges are different from paper to paper, should I be worried? Or does it not matter

Hey man, I would be a little curious if the spec ranges have changed. It’s possible Toyota could have changed them since your first alignment. Are you doing this at a Toyota dealership Or independent?

I ended up taking mine to an off-road shop and let them do the alignment. The one listed above continued to say that everything was good, but you could physically see my front end was toe’d in. Some places aren’t setup to do lifted trucks properly

So far so good since my last alignment. I’m out of town for the next week and half but I can take a photo of my last alignment when I get back. This way you can compare with the spec ranges you are seeing

That would be sweet. I go to my local shop but they aren’t specific for lofted applications although they have gotten good reviews

If you're on top setting then generally you can get the alignment to hold but its ALWAYS better to have UCA's to get the proper geometry. You more than likely have ran out of caster and toe spec in your lower arms which will give the illusion that that your tires are cambered out and induce wear. The dealer will only set you up at factory spec. You need uppers to dial it back in. Its a case by case basis but at my shop we have never had alignment issues after putting UCA's on 2.5+ lifted tundras, but the ones that don't, half the time we end up having to correct the flaw with UCAs. Every truck is different even with the same parts...

5100s all around, 295-70-18 Defenders, BD reverse lights, de-badged, interior LEDs, footwell LEDs, reverse LEDs, ARE cap, front receiver hitch for cooler holder, cooler holder/rod rack, backup camera, Kenwood HU, Tyger nerf bars, Husky floor liners, folding rear seats, remote battery posts, plastidip grill chrome, Powder coat bumpers.
Get the camber closer to 0, or even -0.1. I have mine on the top setting with no issues. At 0.2 camber I was getting outside tire wear. Stock UCAs, my alignment is maxed out though.

Looking for feed back from some of you pro’s here. 1st Gen’r with Billy 5100’s on all 4’s. Front at one notch up from stock. I have no idea what these numbers mean and looking for feedback. The shop did a fine job on everything and the truck drives/handles better than new. Is this confirmed on the printout? Thanks for any feedback and the OP for the thread hop.

Here are the the two separate alignments I got one before shim and one with shim on drivers. The picture on the bottom is the first alignment without shim and the top photo is the second alignment with driver side shim. Notice how the spec ranges are different. What are your guys thoughts?9E2833CC-378A-49B8-99D9-B0564667231F.jpg 79CE0764-F4CC-4F14-A78C-5A9770CC53AA.jpg
