IMO, I'd bedliner the bumper caps and the flares to match. If you use a 1" or 1.25" spacer from Bora or Spydertraxx you can't go wrong and it'd put your wheels flush with the flares.

This. If you keep them chrome has to go. And spacers are needed.

Flares r a must if you're tires stick out,( black/painted/chrome,ect) u will get pulled over and given a warning or ticket depends on the cop, but definitely against the law to have tires sticking out.

I’ve never been a fan of the visible bolts/rivets on those flares. I think they’re ugly TBH

I agree with most on here. You would need to “beef” up the truck for them to really look good, IMO, though. Go the new wheel route over spacers. Get some Method 305 NV’s just as an example. You could get away with leaving the flares black if you do that and paint the front caps black.

Here’s some examples that I googled real quick if it helps you. You don’t even have to lift your truck. Just little details that go a long way! Enjoy!

I personally like the black flares, but I was also debating removing them. I would recommend you do not wait to make that decision like I did. Had mine for a little over a year now and finally decided to pull them off. Once I started removing them, I did discover dust got between the flares and the fender and it wore down the clear coat a little bit. So, flares went back on.

Terrible without bigger tires. The Tundra already suffers from stuffed wheel syndrome. flares just take it way too far unless you're doing something like 295s on a 9" wheel. Then they look just fine.

I like the color contrast in black. I think it adds something to the truck. The color-matched look like a poor design line to me.
But the black expands the wheel well & really makes the tires look too small.
Dunno, but with nothing looks boring to me. Yawn, appliance.

Start with spacers to get the tires even with the flares unless you want to spend the extra $$$ for wheels with +25 or so offset.

If you look at the picture of my truck I installed flares right after I bought it and decided to remove them because the tires got lost under the flares. Because I really like the flares I am working on a level, tire, and wheel combo so that I can fill up the wheel wells and get the wheels out further. Once I do this they should look awesome!

    I’d get rid of them.

I got rid of mine before I drove off the lot. No way I was paying for them.
