Here are some pics of the ZEVO’s in the cargo lamp installed a few days ago, along with the rear assy cluster (blurry) with all 3 lights lit.

Between the 2 cargo and the reverse lights lit simultaneously, its like a baseball field at night (almost).

The license lights LED 921’s are newly installed last week. Had to darken the lens perimeters a bit with Sharpie to tone down the overwash and focus the light towards the plate.

Yeah! I paid $255 during their BF deal plus whatever I paid for the housings 9 months ago. But damn, they’re well worth it! Big thanks to @Darkness for the peer pressure a few months back that pushed me over the edge.

Trucks been clicking and turning over once then stoping and I’ll have to cycle through the key to get it to start. Wouldn’t start at all this morning checked voltage at 11.8V and said screw it I’ll toss a new Bosch battery in. So $122 later hopefully my truck will start like a champ tomorrow.

Did you speak with Morimoto on the phone to compile a complete list?

Just from my quick reading seems like some info on their site is conflicting (maybe due to tech changes). Their installation instructions seem great. Links to vids were nice. My confusion is here: Nowhere do I see these fit 9003 (they sell the 9003 projectors/bulbs but the harness connection instuctions says 9006).

Same happened to my Bosch a few weeks back and they replaced the battery free after the 36month time frame. They have the best post proration compared to others, so basically we have free batteries for life. Do not forget!

Oh I won’t haha, I really hope it was just a battery issue because I really don’t want to take the intake manifold off to get to this damn starter. I love Toyota but they really screwed the pooch on that location.

I sent them an email back in July saying I wanted to do a retrofit on my 06 tundra. A few days later I received a very detailed response with his recommendation of the D2S’s and breaking down every option. We conversed back and forth and answered all my questions. With that and some info I received from @Darkness and @Swalters I felt confident in my decision and just waited for their BF sale to start.

For the wire harness, scroll down and select the MotoControl Bi-Xenon: H4/9003.

If I ever meet the engineers responsible there will be a beating!
    :smack:

    On drivers side:
    Disconnect and remove battery
    Remove 2 plastic guards
    Remove rear bulb cover
Fiddle with tools to release spring on bulb
    Remove bulb
Do your best to remove connector with sharp object without stabbing yourself
Connect new bulb without touching it and reverse all steps

Bulb with connectors below, note there is not enough slack in wires to get it in the open.

Thats the one complaint that stuck out. When the reviewe complained about removing the battery my eyes glossed over and kept reading all the while thinking how easy the Tundra is.

Best gas mileage car I ever experienced was a friends VW Rabbit Diesel 5 spd Hatchback. 75 mpg highway easily. Thats when diesel was 15% cheaper than gas.

I remember when I first saw a Prius. This guy who was getting a window repaired was bragging about his 40+ mpg. I pointed out that my car was from the 50's and gets the same kind of mileage. He thought I was bluffing and I pointed out my Beetle.
 sure he had air conditioning but we know which car was cooler.

Ixnay’d LED and any other non stock type lighting for front headlights. Reason: Too many options and nothing is perfect, but some look cooler than others for sure (see Morimotos). With that being said, I’ve purchased these items to do all at one time and complete the exterior lighting refresh. I have one creative Ace up my sleeve for the new head lamp units that may or may not happen.

Pictured are the assy units, head lamps, and fog lamps. Sylvania is the Toy OEM Supplier (edit*** for bulbs).

I tried two different aftermarket OEM style headlight housings, and I had adjustment & reflector issues with both sets. I returned them for a refund and replaced them with brand new Toyota housings... Zero issues with the new housings.IMG_4104.jpg

    Can anybody help,
I've been looking for half an hour for anytime fog light mod and everything seems to be second gen and newer. Main goal is to have fog lights with high beams. Can anybody hook me up with a link to a good write up for a 06? Thanks!

Looks like some black eyes you got there.

My side lamps are the OEM which are cracked and condensating. My Headlamps cases, which do not need to be replaced, are aftermarket AKKON (3 years old) replacement from the original OEM yellowed and faded. They are doing fine with slight fade of a little section of mirroring. Bought them (just the head cases) 3 years back for $50 WITH BULBS! Bulbs are still working. They cast good light. Well worth the price.

While I would not doubt there is some (possible) reflector issues with AKKON, I ain’t spending $360 on a set of 2 Toy OEM!

So, right now I’m tinkering around the edges with certain things like trying different bulbs. There are some experimental things to try. I’ll report back if these things suck or not.

That would be too much light to have both at the same time which is why Toy designed the system the way they did.

I would like to see a mod like DTR with FOG at same time.

I think the fuses are were the mod would happen. Like clipping a connection or soldering a link. Start with the fuse box(es) and report back.

That video is so mimics reality these days. Lots of talk with no actionable results. Glad that vid gave me a good chuckle, or I’d be pissed wasting the time on it!

Here is a start for your DTR’s. I think you’ll run into trouble at the relay fuses as they are wired/fused for certain tasks and you may not be able to separate and them combo up the items you want.

Rex mentioned the paper clip thingy. You could try that. I wouldn’t do it on my truck, but if it works?

This is a start in a certain direction and not exact instructions. Let us know how it goes. Credits pictured. Not my idea.

Sorry, I didn't watch the video.

I don't have time to remove the panel today, but I do remember clipping some wires together between the factory fog light switch and fuse box. My fogs are turn on & off by that switch, and they run whenever I want them.

I think you will find what you need in this thread, they cover with & without DLRs.
    I don't have DLRs.

They ‘talk’ about DRL’s but the thread is for those w/o DRL. Those with DTR either failed or couldn’t figure it out. On top of that, nobody with an 00-04 ACCESS Cab tried the mod. Our fog switch (mine anyways) is on the dash just under the drivers side vent.

I really think the fix is in the Relay Fuse under the hood.
