Refusing to work today. If you got to make any changes you wanted to the next Pro what would they be?

I wonder what percentage of TRD PRO owners actually do any real offroading? 50%? Would they be willing to pay more for the features you guys listed? These are the questions the folks at Toyota are probably asking.

    Good suggestions so far though.

Real tires. Lockers. Hidden winch bumper. Better approach and departure angles.

Less electric gizmos, safety nannies and a... fake hood scoop delete.

I guess I just would love to see a Toyota version of the Raptor. I get what they are doing with the Pro (keeping it an everyday truck as well) but for me that is what the Off-Road should be.

Seems like most of us who get the Off-Road or Pro get them, and then change most of the “off-road” features. I would like to see a Pro with bigger / better tires, locking diffs, off-road bumper options…I don’t know something ready to go off the line where the mods you want to add are like racks, lighting, etc.

Probably just dreaming. I guess I was just curious if others felt the same.

Agree with all previous comments. Also, I’d suggest that Toyota stop with the exclusivity (~ 5k Tundra Pros per year). Sell as many as the market will tolerate, which would completely eliminate the dealer markups. Also, make the parts more readily available. If I want the wheels or the suspension, sell it to me at a reasonable price. If they want to do a speciality version, take things up a notch and call it the TRD PRO R, or something...

Maybe the Pro owners don't all off road their trucks but perhaps many of us that have built our trucks to off road would've gone with a Pro instead of some other trim?

That's because you void the warranty once you leave the pavement with your Raptor. I think it was @Baja Mike who said this happened to someone he knows.

    Auto a/c on limited

Platinum adds Lexus grade leather (leather/suede on 1794) heated/ventilated seats, leather steering wheel (leather/wood on 1794)

If you want the luxury features, it's much easier to upgrade suspension and exhaust on a limited+ versus adding the luxury stuff to a pro. Full voodoo blue repaint and finding a stamped bed would probably even that out though.

Thanks, I haven't gotten to sit in a TRD Pro yet, so I don't know all the small details

I'll miss out on the Heated/Ventilated seats. In fact, I don't know why that's not on all Tundras past the work trucks.

What do you mean by auto AC?

What's the difference between limited and platinum?

I was looking at 1794 and Pro, and I really like the 1794, but the TRD Pro looks too badass to pass up, plus it'll probably be worth more in the future if I decide to sell it

Temperature control buttons vs hi/low dials

As a percentage of actual purchase price all trims should be fairly similar, but Pros typically sell at MSRP so it's like they don't take the initial depreciation hit versus the higher trims that sell at a big discount. Very similar to Raptor vs regular F150 values.

BSM is BS for not being included imo. Definitely under seat storage, diff lockers, BFG KO2's (same size), Apple/Android CarPlay HU with better speakers, driver side pull handle. The factory remote starters suck so better with aftermarket imo.

The biggest change I could see Toyota realistically changing on a 4th gen PRO would be a rear locker of some sort, heated/cooled seats and 33-34” tires with 17” wheels from the factory. Be more like the Raptor and the Power Wagon in that way.

Yea, I don't know why they don't just base it off the limited package. Actual temperature dials vs Hot/Cold is kind of basic stuff. I wish Toyota was smarter about that stuff

The temperature dials are the only difference. The programming is already done, so if the dials cost an extra dollar, why not just throw that in every vehicle?

What do you think about taking a Platinum/1794 edition and TRD Pro-ing it up? Front grill, wheels, and suspension. Probably costs less than any dealer markup (this one near me wants $7000 as a markup)

That much dealer markup is ridiculous imo. Any is imo and definitely worth adding the TRD Pro suspension, wheels and exhaust to a Limited or Platinum makes sense to me. Adding the grill would go either way for me. I am personally not drawn to the 1794's.
