I have 6112s for the front, assembled, ready to install, and 5100s for the rear. Going to install them this spring. I also have a Coachbuilder ½" shim. With no one in the truck, and an almost empty gas tank, I measure the driver's side at ¼" lower than the passenger side at the front wheel wells. Can't see any driver side lean by merely looking at it from the front or rear. Should I include the shim on the driver side on my install of the 6112s with that measurement, or not bother? (no lift, 6112s set at 1.3")

That's the famous Toyota lean, if it's not noticeable I wouldn't mess with it

Thanks, that was my thought, too. For the $18 price, I thought I'd buy it anyway. If it develops the lean, I'll always have it to add later.

Why not have someone measure it with you in the truck and a full tank and see where it's at?

I recommend using the shim on the driver side. Have personally measured 5 sets of original springs, the driver side spring was 1/4” taller, shim replicates this. The Bilstein Pro suspension had the driver side set 1 notch higher as well, same thing.

Is there a 1/4" shim option, or do you recommend the 1/2" shim?

I assumed he has a 1/4” shim that provides 1/2” lift?

The shim should arrive in a day or two. All I know is that it's listed by Coachbuilders as a ½" shim.

Not sure it's a good assumption, but I also figured that the new springs on the 6112s could well counter the present ¼' difference.

I always thought the lean that everyone referred to was a permanent lean that developed over time and remained even when the driver exited the vehicle. Seems to me that any vehicle can be caused to lean to one side while loaded on one side.

Don’t obsess over the lean.. I have two shims on both sides up front with coil over’s and in the end I almost screwed up the adjustment collar for 7/8” driver side gain. Doesn’t even bother me now

It is, the shims are 1/4” thick and provide 1/2” lift, I’ve used them several times, good product. From the factory the driver side coil is 1/4” taller, and still has the driver side lean. The 6112s are the same length, when you put a shim on top of the driver side you are duplicating the 1/4” longer factory spring length, and that is what you want. Will end up with 1/4” lean just like it came from the factory.
