    I don't mind the rain a bit. I would love to live in Washington but my family is all here and I don't see them enough as is. Plus my wife thinks anything below 70 degrees is freezing so it would be a hard sell. Its 72 in my place right now and shes on the couch with a blanket.

    Is that with the heater on? That’s toasty. I’m a Gas Mizer at home. 68 when we’re home and 66 while were sleeping 56 while we’re gone. Been thinking about dropping the sleeping time down to 65 lol.

    I once pulled the temperature control knob off the dash in my truck and threw it in the back just so she would stop raising the heat.

    I only keep it that warm because of the girls. If I had my way it would only be used occasionally.

    Sanuk are my new favorite. I like Reef too but the ones I've had were pretty stiff and heavy.

    No. The FPX44 Elite ain’t not joke Lol.
    I’ve loaded 2 boxes since noon and it was 80 earlier. I turn the circulation fan on (nearly zero power useage) and it keeps 4,000 sq ft 80+ as long as I’d like.
    We had the doors open earlier and it’s 46 out.
    And my fire has damn near been dead for hours.

    Personally, one has to enjoy where you live and the laws in place.

    I really liked CA, as stated before. I always found the people friendly and outgoing as a general observation. If you got bored in CA, it was your own damn fault. We did the snowball fight and surf in the same day thing a couple times a year. Good times.

    A few things made me leave:

    Cost of living. I used to ride around with CA Highway Patrol and Fresno County sheriff department. Little history on the ol’ TJ, I wanted to be a law enforcement officer. Comes to find out, this career isn’t a good fit for me. I support the men and women first responders though.

    Second thing I didn’t like was the way the state was moving in pretty much everything that involved an election.

    So I moved. That simple. CA was a LOT of FUN and miss it at times.

    This will happen again with CO and my beliefs. I will most likely not retire here permanently. Hell, maybe all the California people will be here and I’ll move back there. Lol. How funny would that be?

    Thanks! It’s a lot of upkeep though. If I did it again we’d be in a tad smaller house, without such a large yard (same or more acreage though). We have young kids and I always figured the more grass the better. Boy was I wrong. :(

    I totally see your point, don't get me wrong. But those numbers are very skewed as we have UCSB and Santa Barbara City College here too. Don't get me wrong the housing prices aren't great, we were lucky enough to buy at the bottom with a FHA loan of 3.5% down ($18,900 to be exact for conversation sake). My point was more that there is no perfect town, there is always some place more affordable, there is always a place that has better this than that.

    I think I am just tired of people saying CA sucks, it's taxes are high and that place is full of idiots. We have 30 Million plus people here, of course theres idiots. But overall it's a great place and you make what you make of it. I love Colorado, truly do. But I can't leave my job or my family here. Maybe later in life I can, but not yet.
