I don't mean to stir shit up,

King makes great shocks but their coil reputation is lacking.

Just tried them in the back and they clear with the same clearance from other pictures. Was 100% on me for thinking I was supposed to replace all four and trying the front first.

The rear locations on the bump stops has a little more clearance as you can see. While the fronts should/can be left stock for last ditch efforts if bottoming out the suspension. Keep in mind these bump stops are progressive and taller to absorb the hits versus the smaller solid non-absorbing OEM styles. So no real issues with them being close and engaging slightly sooner as they are not nearly as hard as the stock solid rubber bump stops.

If you have any Toyota friends locally, they will fit quite few different rigs. Some customers also do replace all 4 too.

Ok. Maybe I’ll ask them or put them in the rear if that’s possible.

You’re having someone else do it? It’s pretty easy to do yourself. A pair of channel locks to take the old ones off and the big Allen wrench they give you with the bumps. Just jack up that side of the truck from the frame to make room.

I've been told you lose some uptravel putting them in the rear. True? If so how much do you lose?

I have the deaver mini pack in the rear. I would like something more progressive than stock, but probably don't need a full set of hydros. I run Super bumps in front and they work great for me.

    First iv heard,
@wheelersoffroad states they compress to OE....so why would you lose travel?

Honestly, i think they have benefit me the best out back. Sometimes I load up bad for a camping trip, unexpected hard hits i used to cry. Now, while its still noticeable, i feel its more controlled. Maybe its placebo effect? If so thats fine lol

Only reason I think it’s possible that you would lose some travel is because they also set up on a perch. But that’s just by looking at them.

Correct but they also compress a lot more. Example being the fronts - almost 3x (maybe more) the height but compress to OE height, thats why there are the perches. At least thats how I see it.

    Me too!

    @14burrito
That would be awesome if you could take some measurements and compare.

Wheelers doesn't list rears as an application for Tundras like they do with the fronts. I'm not sure if that's an oversight or for some other reason. Obviously you and others are running them and they work, so not sure what to think about it.

As @15whtrd noted, the Tacoma rears work on the Tundra. @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc maybe changing the verbage on the site so its a little more clear to everyone?

I'll see what stock parts I can find out in the shed.

For constant heavier applications, they might get overloaded and not work well when being applied and tested. It is something we are currently experimenting with. But we will be hopefully offering something soon specifically for you guys. We do recommend and sell the Timbren rear kits if needing an aftermarket rear bump stop though.
