Do I have to worry about how long I keep the terminals unhooked while changing or cleaning the battery in my 2012 Tundra?
Do those 9V backfeed through the power ports work? or is it even needed?

    TIA

I was wondering the same thing. I was going to disconnect the battery to clean the terminals. Did you unhook the battery?

I was having issues with my battery corroding in the first year I owned it. I cleaned them up with baking soda and water. Then install those cheap green and red felt washers underneath the terminals. It completely stopped the corroding process. I didn’t even lose my radio settings. I also added some battery terminal protectant. Dielectric grease should work or Vaseline. Can’t remember if it was on the tundra or the other cars but I did lose trip A and B memory.
