Can anybody give me a run down on bed shake for dummies? I’ve been all over this truck this morning and have realized simply stepping on or off the bumper causes the bed the shake at about the same frequency I’m feeling when the truck gets its shakes, obviously not as aggressive though. It appears the bed is solid mounted to the frame should I be looking for commonly loose mounts? At 120k miles it appears to have the original shocks and the new tires have already started to cup on the rear. Am I lucky enough that this could all be fixed during a shock upgrade?! The obvious answer is to pull the shocks and check them but would love to hear if there’s something I need to inspect at the bed mounts.

Maybe time for bushings in the shackles and leafs.

Fixed. Incase anybody is on a google frenzy like me with this issue.....it was self inflicted. The original rear bumper was dented when I bought the truck so when I replaced it I had both bumpers paint matched. During the reassembly I overlooked the 2 outward bumper brackets that also tie into the bedside......the result is NASTY bed shake at certain speeds due to harmonics through the frame. If you are getting severe vibrations or bed shake and have a damaged rear bumper, inspect the rear brackets! Thanks for everyone’s input.

Update: the bumper brackets didn’t fix the shake but they did help how much it was being felt. I have located the issue and need some input. The slip yoke at the front of the driveshaft is bone dry and I assume caused premature wear but it’s got quite a bit of slop in it now. Believe the yoke is steel and the driveshaft is aluminum so assuming the driveshaft is the worn out portion, does anyone have a recommendation for an aftermarket/upgrade option?

Did you get tires from the dealer? When I bought my old white tundra they put some tires on after Lifting it and it shook the whole truck, one of the tires had a defect switched it out and went away

You can try to check in junk yards to see if they have a used one. Some parts are easy to find while others get bought quickly. Other than that you can try to find someone who makes driveshafts. They most likely can make one for you. You could take a look on-line for the drive shaft from Toyota to see how they sell it. It could be as a whole unit or maybe just the steel part can be removed from the aluminum.
