I am in the market for getting a Tundra soon, and I can't help but notice there are some features missing. I would like to see some of these features as options in the coming years:

    Things that should be standard:
    • Remote start (built in to the key/car)
    • Much newer radio system with Apple car play
    • Aux Switches
As well as some cool/extra add ons:
    • Heated Steering Wheel
    • Heated rear seats
    • TRD Supercharger
    • 8 speed gearbox
A lot of these (remote start, radio, heated rear seats) are already available on the Titan, Silverado, ect, and I'm a little disappointed that Toyota hasn't put them on yet. (I live in Michigan, where they throw in remote start for free a lot).

What are some of the things you guys wish the Tundra had?

@1sand0s have you driven in a vehicle with an 8 speed or 10 speed? It's not particularly the nicest driving experience, imo

And even at that their final drive gear ratios even been very conservative with the added overdrive's.

I don't have this problem but a factory storage box under the back seats on newer tundras. Definitely taking the one I have on my truck if I'm getting a newer truck, that storage box is useful

How about cam tower seals that don’t leak and safety systems that work even after the truck is lifted? Those are “features” I’d like to see...#notevenslightlysarcastic

They’re not that bad. It’s something to get used to. The increased mileage will be worth it

Also something I’d like to see:

    cooled passenger seat,
cup holders in the back on the center console for the rear seats,
Aux input for the backup camera on a trailer. Fords have them and my buddy put one on his boat to back it into the garage since it’s a tight fit. They’re pretty cool

Remote start is the biggest however. Matttown is right, it’s practically standard now.

My truck hunts for gears enough already with a 6 speed. 8 or 10 speed would be worthless in these trucks unless your always driving downhill somehow

How about MPG that is in line with the competition. I believe the Tundra has the worst MPG in its class. They should be leading the pack.

I wish my Limited had a memory function for the seat position, 112v in the cab and bed, auto up/down for all windows, and storage in the back doors (I have a DC) like the front doors have.

Oh...it still does. I'm talking about when I'm in D(drive). My point is that having more gears really doesn't help you out unless your planning on driving between 80-100 mph everywhere

BakFlip MX4 Tonneau, 12 Volt Solutions Remote Starter More minor mods coming
Based on the 2019 CM 1794:
    • A knob to adjust heater fan speed (it’s a switch now)
    • Illuminated switches for side view mirror adjustments
    • Illuminated switches for driving seat memory adjustments
    • Better MPG (I know, dead horse)
    • Remote starter operated by key fob (like 12 Volt Solutions version)
    • Power tailgate lock (like Pop-n-lock)
    • Stiffening in doors so they don’t sometimes sound tinny when you close them
    • All LED lighting
    • Storage under back seat
    • Lighted indicators in side view mirrors for heaters
    • Auto up and down on all windows including rear window
    • Factory organizer in cente console
    • Always powered 12V power port
    • 120V power port
    • Fold down backs on rear seats
    • Better air flow on rear heater/AC vents

I don't give a rat's backside about most of the floofy bells and whistles. It's a TRUCK. I don't need power assist everything, remote start, self parking, power butt wipe, blind spot monitoring, self drive, safety assist, blah, blah, blah, blah.

    Most of my wishes
    will never happen. So:

    1. 6.5' bed on the CrewMax.
    2. A high payload option (or a 3/4 or 1 ton platform).
    3. Rear locker would be nice.
    4. And this will never happen, but a guy can dream: give me a manual transmission.
    5. Take away all of the "nannies" - or give me the option to shut them off permanently.

And someone else already said this, but:

    6. Fix the fucking Cam tower seal design.
