295/70R18 All Terrain Tires - what to get

Ron... you're truck looks great. Do you have a leveling kit on your truck? What brand tires are they?

 

Would 6112's set at 1.9" clear 295/70/18 on a 17 TRD OR with the factory wheels? I know the Pro is 2" taller than my truck, I may also add a shim per side.

 

Also depends on your UCA. Some stick out more than others.

 

I plan on running stock UCA's if I go 6112 at 1.9" and possibly a shim per side.

 

Any issues introduce themselves if you do the above but do new wheels with less offset as well (I.e. - method NVs or SCS Ray 10s)?

Figure UCAs will clear, but not sure about cab mount or fender liners/mudflaps.

 

My goodness. I was looking at KO2 and Falken but you may have just sold me on those toyos. It helps that I have a MGM myself so I can envision my own ride. One thing is the KO2 has the snowflake rating and toyo doesn’t plus I only read nothing but good things regarding falken plus they cheaper but man do those toyos look MEAN.

Im looking for nitto terra grappler g2 in 285/70/18 and cant seem to find them.Do they not come in this size?

 

Can I get your impressions on those toyos? Noise, mpg, rain, off-road, snow etc. I have narrowed down my search to toyos AT or the Falken at3w and also have a 2016 trd pro and don’t want to really to mod anything but don’t mind removing a mud flap or there.

+3 @Coachbuilder1 shackles in rear. A little running on front mud flap on front of wheel well. They are humming on the road. Had a little slippage on wet pavement accelerating onto on ramp onto highway.

 

@Nuclearone @okstate trucks are looking killer! Do the tires poke out from the fenders with the setup you guys are running? I am about to pull the trigger on these tires and wondering what it looks like from the front?

Different compounds and different tires.

 

I know it’s not an option on your list but I went with Cooper STT Pro 295/70R18. Heard good things about it but I did not have a chance to mount them on my truck yet. Waiting for my leveling kits to install first.

 

Doesn't stick out much, if at all.

 

It is the stock TRD Pro suspension. Which is 2" higher than stock Tundra. I will be adding the @Coachbuilder1 shims in the front which will give it another 1".

 

I don't have a picture of mine I will try to take one later, but there is minimal tire sticking out with the stock TRD Pro wheels. Mine are very similar to @Nuclearone.

negative, no rubbing but I do have the Revtek 2" spacer in the front coils fyi
