    How's it going guys,
    I just purchased a 2011 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior double door. I got a screaming deal on it, and I took it forward. It has 83,000 miles on it and I purchased a warranty with it.....for a piece of mind.
    One question for y'all, are these just noisy motor? I swear sometimes I am driving a new diesel sometimes. I am thinking about taking it in, but I have been told in the past from a Toyota tech, "If you can hear it over the radio being moderate and the defrost on medium, then it's a problem," in which I don't.

    Is this just a 'ticky' motor because it's a OHC? Should I take it in for a oil analysis, or just ignore it?

    Welcome from CO. The air injection pumps(AIPs) also make a hell of a lot of noise at start up. Also really ticky in super cold weather. Really ticky. I used Lucas Upper cylinder treatment on my 09 Tacoma for that because it works. Still ticked a little. That never totally goes away. I see the AK plate. That's where I started using the Lucas juice. (Anchorage, record winter of 2012, sorta sucked after awhile.)

    That's where I am at is Anchorage. I might have to do that come winter time. Thinking about getting the oil analyzed from my dealership.
    Going to have these tires studded come this winter.

    I guess the last couple of winters were really lite as far as snow fall. Figures I'd be there for record snowfall... I mentioned on some other tire related thread that I saw a lot of Cooper tires on 4X4's in Anchorage. Was I seeing things? Mostly STT's and ST Maxx's. It costs a lot to ship tires up there. Maybe I saw so many because of price. I just got a set of STT Pro's. You ever thought about running two sets of tires? Studded and non-studded? I told my co-workers about all the moose wondering around in town. Especially in 2012. They got real hungry that winter. Pretty much ate all our bushes in the front yard. Thinking about going back up actually.

    Yeah, 2012 was a pretty bad year for us. The past few have been pretty light, but now I'm hoping for a lot so I can go have fun with her. :). I'm thinking I am just going to run some used studs on her this winter or stud my current tires so I can have an excuse come spring time to get some bigger grapplers! :)
