Just wondering if anyone has done Katzkin Degreez heated and cooled seats yet. I’m about to pull the trigger on a set and wanting to get some opinions.

    Here’s what I’m looking at:

    78A8F0C6-556A-42B5-95B1-693593630033_zps_c53c14aea46ef7106d4764f48ddeaf640d4650bb.jpg

I’m gonna do black with perforated in the middle that will have grey in the perforated holes. Then where this set is orange (the wings) I’m going to do them a suede grey leather with the diamond stitching in them. The diamond stitching will be black because it’s on grey leather, and all the stitching on the black will be grey to kind of tie it all in.

    What do y’all think?

I think you should order two sets and send me the other. That will be sick, I’m just not a fan of suede. I like all the other choices though.

Also, he says I have the option of a single stitch or double stitch on the diamond...

Here’s a picture of the single... think I might like that better.

$2,500. Would be significantly cheaper if I didn’t do cooling in the seats.

I was riding shotgun in my buddies raptor....the cooled seats were awesome.
In our Lexus rc, it has ventilated seats that are ok.

Yeah, that’s my concern. I’d like some feedback from anyone that has it because I’m sure they’re just ventilated.

Maybe a lot of people aren’t doing them because they’re not worth the money. I dunno... I just figure if I’m going to add leather, might as well do it right and be done with it.

Got the standard black non perforated (factory match) Katzkin leather seats. They are amazing. Better than the factory limited leather seats.

I've seen some kits that actually cool the air, not just vent the air. For this much money I hope it's not just ventilated.

I watched a YouTube video on it, I thought it sounded awesome until I saw that you had to hack up the foam in your seat....nope, not a diy

It doesn't look that hard on youtube, but I always say that then 8 hours later the project is done.

My concern isn’t DIY, I definitely don’t plan to take this on myself. But I agree, it’s a hefty price tag if it’s just ventilated seats... I’m not sure it’s worth the price point.

Just an update... just ordered my katzkin kit today. Should be here in a week or so. Went with Degreez heating and cooling since it is actually a cooling system, not just ventilated. I probably won’t get the kit installed for about a month, but I’m excited!!!

How do they achieve the "cooling" part if they are not simply ventilated? So does the $2500 include installation?

They are ventilated. I was just saying what I’m told is it’s more than just circulating cabin air through the seats. It has an actual cooling system.

And yes, $2500 is out the door. Tax and all.

Bump for an update my man. Just bought a new tundra with everything I wanted except it had cloth interior. I can get degreez done for an extra 800. How does the cooling work? There are various degrees of cooled seats. Old Ford ones sucked. New F250 platinum are good. The wife’s Audi Q7 has amazing cooled seats. What’s this one like compared to some of the others?

I had the degreez on the tundra I just sold and was far from impressed. It would take 15-20 minutes to even start working well enough to enjoy. I’ve had cooled seats In several Vehicles and my brother in law has a Laramie ram. That thing will put icicles on your ass.

When I put Katzkins in the new truck I’m going to have the upholstery shop do aftermarket seat heaters instead of katzkin brand and will skip the cooling feature all together.

That’s the exact feedback I’m looking for. My wife’s Audi icicles on your ass. You almost need to turn it down. New Ram Rebel TRX I just test drove same thing.

The seats heated up fine but the surface area was tiny. I almost wonder if they installed them upside down? But after researching and talking to them they can do custom heaters that go from the front edge of the seat all the way up to your shoulders and they will get as hot as you want them

Did your installer use the correct foam to allow air flow through? You have to use a special filament instead of foam to allow proper air flow.
