So I have a dilemma. I currently drive a 2014 DC SR5 with 60K miles. I've acquire a 2007 CM SR5 TRD offroad with 90K miles. I now have two trucks, where only one shall remain. Both are 4x4. 75% on-road, and occasional towing for now. I plan on using some of the money from either of them to make some upgrades to the one I keep. Probably struts and bed-liner for the 2014 and audio headunit and canopy or bed-cover for 2007.

    Here is a breakdown:

2014: (bought used with 50K miles)
Likes: has a canopy, modernish interior, clean, blue-ribbon metallic color. Paid for.
no-likes: stupid throttle mapping, no bedliner, 5-seater

2007: (Company bought new and was fleet maintained)
Likes: I put on 50% of the current miles, i was mostly responsible for maintenance, sliding rear window, bigger back seat, bedliner, front bench seat, it was the truck that made me fall in love with the Tundra. paid for
no-likes: has some dings, interior needs detailed, exterior needs detailed. out dated interior, brand new but crappier tires.

I will end up selling one of them. They are both paid for. What should I do? My smarter half won't let me keep both.

I hit sell both because i love the Voodoo Blue. Id trade them both in on a new PRO!

If not that option, i keep the 14, unless you need CrewMax interior space.

Keep both!!!!! On a side not, you could sell both and get a brand new one for not to big of a payment. Otherwise I’d keep the doublecab.

I voted keep both new wife . While I realize that's not going to be your choice . The math is simple to me. 2 is more then 1.

You'll have to make payments on a new one. Instead, mod one of them to your liking. Supercharger and new suspension

I think if I got a new one it would be a 2013. I really detest the new throttle mapping. the 2007 "feels" 1000lb lighter.

    I think it's a win either way.

Do you think you will use the back seat or the bed more often? Maybe go with the cab style you like best?

The 14' shouldn't have an AIP issue.

What is the AIP issue? The bed/back seat conundrum is what my wife and I are trying to decide on the most right now.

We have a few little ones in our family so the big back seat is a priority for us. I love the room in the crewmax and I have a trailer I can use for loads.

Toyota changed the design on their system so the 14' shouldn't have an issue. I don't know if Toyota has extended the warranty or made a recall, if so, it may not be an issue.

You will have to do some digging or some others may know as I'm not up on the topic.

Do you have kids or have another good reason for needing the a bigger back seat? If not keep the '14 (if your in the Cincy area I'll give you a factory bedliner for free).

If you really need the bigger back seat then I would sell both and get a '16 or '17 crew cab

    crewmax for sure :)
    keep the gen 2.
also 2007 less potential for cam tower leaks and you will probably get less when selling it vs the 2014.

I have three kids. although in our DC the tallest (5'7") still has about 18 inches in front of his knees. The CM however, has more comfy seats in the back.

I have a 2000 tundra limited TRD access cab 4x4 and 2013 tundra crewmax TRD 4x4. I use the 2000 for work, I do home remodeling and the 2013 for running around. More room. My wife said we need to keep both. Who am I to argue!!? She has 2012 Lexus RX350.

Keep the CM! I love the interior space and have a tailgate extender should I need the extra bed length.

After considering (and adding a Pedal Commander to the 2014) I think we are going to keep the 2014. There is still a chance once it gets sold, that we sell the 14 as well and get something different, but one step at a time. So once I clean the 07, it's going on craigslist.
    Thanks for the input.

They're basically the same truck, you'd get much more selling the 14. That's what i'd do, sell the 14, pocket the cash, put on some 2018 Sequoia lights on it and refresh the look.

tough decision, if you have kids keep the crewmax as a family hauler. modify the other one as an Offroad toy and when your first kid gets old he or she can have the truck and you keep the other one which won't be broken in until it hits a million miles.
