So I installed spyder headlights and I don't like the amber color bulb for DRL. I m trying to change it to LED switchback but I don't know which brand of bulb to get. I have already installled the resistor but whenever I put the bulb on it blows the fuse and burns the bulb. May be I don't have the right LED switchback? I bought a set from eBay so I am thinking it's just probably a cheap one???

Anyone has done this w Spyder Headlights???

Linki for the switchback I got

    Dude

I also looked at this one by headlight revolution I wasn't sure about them.

    https://headlightrevolution.com/2014-2017-toyota-tundra-led-front-blinkers-kit-switchback/

The one u sent me looks good quality but man that's expensive...

I was able to make the LED strip in my headlight to be DRL though. If you connect the pink wire in the passenger side and red wire in the driverside harness to green wire for headlight Changes the led strip to act as DRL.

Yeah they must have gone up in price recently. I think I paid 140 a little over a year ago. I'm gonna do a retro hopefully soon and put a new led strip in the led bar to be the DRLs like you mentioned

Switchbacks need a computer module to switch the light back and forth which is what the Vleds have for each bulb. The bulbs alone won't really be true switchbacks. There was a thread on here awhile back that reviewed a lot of the cheper stuff and all either burned out or weren't switchbacks.

Looks like just the bulbs so theres really no way for the bulb to know when to switch over. Unless it has you tap into other wires and hook it up.

So you were able to get the led bar on the spyder headlight to be DRL?

So is your set up only using the LED bar as your DRLs?

Yes, led bar and the amber lights both function as DRL. My truck has been sleeping at the shop since Thanksgiving getting some upgrades. I haven't had a chance to update this thread as some members asked bout it. I will go Wednesday to see if i can get some pics.
