One rear leafs and poly bushings

I want to try to instal my ome leaf springs and poly bushings today here is what came in the pack and I missing bushing sleeves?

 

and looks like 2 extra bushing sets. Only need 2 sets per side.

 

I would call OME or where you bought it form.

 

The longer ones looks to be the top. I’m stumped if one end has a sleeve I’m supposed to reuse I think not as the stock leaf bushings are the same but I could be wrong..

 

I remember scratching my head too with those. The long one is upper shackle. The short ones are front and rear leaf. Let me check my truck for sleeves

 

Never mind. I don’t have x-ray vision. Can’t see the bushing sleeves haha. That does seem odd. Like mentioned earlier call a OME install shop and ask. Im trying to remember but I think one of the leaf bolts is bigger than the other one. I think the front is no sleeve and the rear(more turning due to shackle) has the sleeve.

 

So have you done these? Do I need more bushing sleeves?

 

When I did mine it was just one of those wing it and see how it goes installs haha. I know I didn’t have to get more parts. And I know I was thinking wtf when I saw the bushing/sleeves before install

 

Nope I’m wrong. Front uses the sleeve because it’s not a greasable joint. Rear uses the greaseable bolts. See

 

Longer ones are for upper/frame bushing
Shorter is for leaf pack.With sleeve.

 

Re use the upper oem sleeve for the new bushings*

 

Planned on that but looks like I’m gonna need another set of leaf bushing sleeves since I don’t have the greasable bolts and new shackles

 

Are you using ome packs?

You should be able to just use the lower bushings for now with oem shackle. Replace the uppers when you get the new shackles. Uppers are easy no need for a press.

 

Try sliding that lower sleeve over the oem shackle to see if the diameter fit. I believe they were same diameter.

 

Yes but my question is do I need 4 sleeves? With stock shackles? Front bushing sleeve, rear lower bushing sleeve on each side driver and passenger. yes I know I can reuse the upper shackle ones

 

No, the ome leaf pack is already equipped with a bushing for front mount.
You will just use the two in the rear with your shackles.

 

Ok for future reference for anyone you need another bushing sleeve (or leave it loose and sloppy without one what I did in the rear til Monday when I can machine one at work) if you use ome poly bushings. Also the bushing in the stock upper shackle doesn’t fit in the new poly upper bushings so I just left the stock upper bushings in. My guess is they do this to make you spend more money on the darn greasable shackles and pins
