7C00942F-63E3-498B-91C1-17DDE6E7C7EF.jpg Had a 2017 Tacoma put 45k miles on in 8 months... just traded in for 2018 CM SR5 Cement. Dealer gave me 32 for taco I paid 35 for it. Paid 41 OTD for the Tundra. Stoked to be apart of the community of a truck I can actually fit in. Night and day in power, comfort, and I’m stoked. Miss the taco though, had 14k worth of plans for it still. Glad to have gotten out before they occurred. Currently in Dickinson, ND. Working the oil fields.998350F8-2F71-48B3-B870-3454447AC90B.jpg

    Rear frame support
    Decked bed box
    Front and rear bumpers
    Smittybilt 12k winch
    White Knuckle Sliders
    Some baja designs lights
    Bed Cage....custom..for RTT
    4:88 Gears
    ARB rear/ Harrop ELocker front
    Arb dual compressor
    Budskids
    Switch pros
    Katzkin Leather Black
    ESP under seat safe
    Center counsel safe

I’m sure there will eventually be more.

Debating between 35’s and 37’s. I know there’s no MPG to be had with these trucks to begin with so that’s not a factor. Definitely Toyo Open Country MT though and some 18” method NV most likely. I’ve run those tires for quite some time in very sharp rocks, with ruts and supremely washed out roads. I drive over 200 miles a day for work in ND very diverse weather. No flats, no chunks out of tread from scoria rock. Guys without good tires get flats weekly at times.

Some pieces to the puzzle have begun to show up. Just waiting on MCM Fab UCA’s and it’ll all come together for now until I can afford rear mid travel from MCM as well.

Welcome from eastern CO, and congrats on the buy! Have quite a few buddies who’ve been up in NoDak for oil field work. You’ve gotta be one of the few who doesn’t have a diesel daily driver.

    Looking forward to seeing it!

    Welcome. Love both trucks.

Not that my opinion means much but if you are going with aftermarket front bumper and 4.88s just go with 37”s...

Finally made the time to install the front mid travel kit on Homer. Did the entire job with hand tools and it was quite simple. Used a rathchet strap to pull the lower control arms together to put the new ADS coilovers on.

Make sure to take your battery out. It’ll make taking the the drivers side uca out much easier.

Taking everything off is quite easy solo, however having an extra pair of hands to help put the UCA’s on makes doing so a breeze.

I didn’t adjust the 3.0’s at all and it seems just about perfectly level with the rear OEM. Looking forward to completing the kit with Deavers and Tripple bypass in the rear.

Be sure to have a higher than normal lifting jack or some blocks to use to lift up higher. Especially if you’re running bigger tires. I needed to make blocks for my jack stands and a block for my jack to lift the truck higher for the 37’s.

It was late when I finished and I wanted to go test it out. So that’s the reason for lack of photos. I also wanted to video it all and have a step by step however it’s hard to get motivated to do that when it’s freezing out and getting it done fast is important.
