Well, maybe not so much a "panic" build, but I caught a screw in a back tire yesterday which went into the sidewall. I'm selling the idea if pulling the trigger on things sooner than later based on the fact that the tire is junk and It wouldn't be be fiscally prudent to buy a new tire that i'd just be throwing away in 6 months anyway. And you know, with the Black Friday deals about to pop up, it may make sense to save some money on things I'd be buying anyway.....you know, trying to be fiscally responsible and all.

Let's just say that I did get the "Dark Look" with some eye rolls, but I did NOT get a "no", not yet anyway, hence my "panic" build.

So, after burying myself in pages upon pages of information, I think I have a game plan; The idea is to do a small lift, just enough to clear tires, but I also need to be able to load dirtbikes without a ladder etc. I also want to have a little rake as I will be putting about 5-600 lbs of gear in the bed a lot. I don't Off Road a bunch, that's what dirtbikes are for, but I will play around a little if the opportunity presents itself. I admit, I'm going for a "look" more than anything, i'm getting old, my dick is getting smaller ever day and I need to prove something.

Here is my plan, let me know if this is bunk or not:

Wheels: Icon Rebound 17" +25 offset
Tires: 315-70-17 (Still debating brand/model, but an AT)
Suspension: Bilstein 6112/5160 2.5 ish front, 1-2 rear (I'd like to go one clip from max and use shims to make up the difference so I can keep a good ride)

I'm prepared to remove mud flap fore/aft as well as heating up some plastics to make things fit. Body Mount Chop is NOT off the table at all. I has tools and a Mig, I can weld like shit but make it look okey dokey with beer.

In that case, the only answer is 37s on a 7 inch lift. Don't forget the chrome truck balls hanging from the hitch. You can probably get all that done in panic mode at a shop overnight. Good luck

With that offset, those bilsteins and few coachbuilder shims to 3", 37s will fit

Yes, there's a few people running them now. Look up sean hillaker and black pearl build. There's another guy on here Franco matic or whatever his name is on here, running 37s, on 3" +25mm and did body mount, truck looks awesome!

I'll take a look. Just wonder how much of a hit on acceleration and braking over a 35.

    Found a couple 37 pics. I'm gonna stick to 315 / 35's.

Hey man, I am planning the same exact setup for my 18. 2.5" in front, 1" in rear. Same rims, same tire size. What have you seen as far as how much cutting we'll have to do?

From what I'm reading and hearing, minimal if any at all on the body mount. will need to cut/mold/remove plastics though. Maybe trim the skid plate. Depends on tire.

Update: going with Cooper ST Maxx 315/70/17's. I've used the ATP's in the past and have zero issues with them, should last a while and be good in rain.

So far, the Minister of Finance hasn't shut me down yet.

Parts be arriving. Some changes: Adding SPC UCA's and only doing a 2" in the front with a 1.5 rear so I'm not ass low when hauling. On paper with the adjustable UCA's I should be able to make the 35's fit without doing a chop....on paper. I've seen others doing it.

This reminded me of a guy on tacomaworld that had a flat tire and then went full boar with long travel. Not that extreme but..you know.

awwe hell. UPS just dropped off the rest of the suspension parts I was waiting on. My wife was/is home......... I'll be working through that today.

ANYWHO, I think i'm going to tear into it this weekend and get an alignment done on Monday. I've been looking for some alignment specs I can give the shop, but all i've seen is screenshots of "bad" ones. Anyone have good numbers I can give the shop?

2" front, adjustable UCA's (Just in case I need to move them forward for clearance)

    1.5" rear

I run a bit more lift in the front than you, 3.25"/1". But here are the numbers that I have for my latest go round:

    Camber: 0.0 degrees
Caster: Get as much as you can. I have 4.5 degrees left/4.8 degrees right.
    Toe: +0.12 degrees per side.

I actually wanted to go slightly negative on camber, but this is all I could get. My last go round was +0.2 degrees and that gave me some significant outside tire wear. If the tire wear continues, I will lower the front some and see if I can get some negative camber. I also run no front track bar and drive fairly aggressively, which might also contribute to the outside edge tire wear.

Talk with @jberry813 . He is good with alignment numbers.

I'm on 3/1 via 6112+shim and 5160 with Toytec shackles. I stuffed 37x12.5 with no rubbing at full articulation and at full steering lock after minor trimming, lol.

Sure helps if you don’t have negative offsets and the right backspacing on your wheels.

Which is interesting as folks have done that exact setup with no rubbing, remove flaps, mold plastic and push UCA's forward as much as possible.
