For any Tundra designers/engineers reading this! Trust and listen to your customers!

People, comment your dream options/features you'd like to be added or options that you want KEPT, or options to be PUT THE HELL BACK in any future Tundra.

Ideas can come from, but are not limited to, any existing Tundra, Toyota vehicle, or competitors' vehicles.

    Hmm nice thread idea

Tow package should come with hitch, mirrors, better suspension setup, brake controller and 4/7 pin harness

    Ceramic tint in the back

33 tires on all trim packages (don't EVER put a P rated tire on a new truck with a damn tow package!)

Spray in Bedliner on all trim packages

That's all I can think of at this moment.

I prefer Cummins if anything else and upgrade in suspension so when ever I put wood or something in the back it doesn't just squat down lol for example

I would prefer if ALL trim levels of the Tundra except the SR had the TRD suspension.

    This is a nice thread
    Tundra Dream Options:
Have a Hilux look as other countries have but in the Tundra size. Why limit the looks only in this country.
Use Vehicle Design Build software on the internet showing video samples of our build so we can visualize the design which would increase our desires before purchase.
Glass 2 Technology like on dash boards, window screen weather / news / movies... there's a youtube on this ( if you want, you can jump to time line 2:30 for vehicle) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sc8lzavmXOk
Optional interior color or texture for plastic, fabric / material.
Optional exterior pin stripping, painted stripes, graphics and other artistic designs or items.
After market options such as: suspensions, lifts, LED's, lights, seat covers, engine performance options, tent racks, etc...
Easy mechanical access to exterior lights instead of disassembling everything which may increase chance of damage.
Optional tools / equipment items we use on the vehicles or for ourselves.
Move the wires / cables and boxes from under front seats to have room for storage.
Front seats with more cushion buoyancy / softness / options of comfort. Paying this much cash, seats should have choices.
We have the technology, lets dream it and put it together.

I agree with most of what you guys are asking for. But I would like to see something in between the double cab and crewmax. Make it a six-foot bed and move that 6" into the cab. The double cab works for me but sometimes just a few more inches would be perfect. I prefer the six-foot bed so that I could lay down in the back with a shell on it. And although awesome, the crew Max is just a little over done in the room department. In a perfect world you would have that and a 6 1/2 foot bed and crewmax but I think that's just going too be freaking huge. I like the compromise between the two. Or even a 6 inch larger double cab with a 6 1/2 foot bed. It would basically be on the same frame as a CM with a 6 1/2 foot bed. No offense to you crew Max short bed lovers but it just seems out of proportion for me. And even the DC looks a little out of proportion with the 6 1/2 FB. Although I'm actually a regular cab 6 1/2 foot bed lover. It's just not practical for me at this point in my life. But I understand it's not very reasonable to want that many different body length options. But what it boils down to is I would like a slightly larger cab on the DC and a 4.6L supercharged/turbocharged V-8.

I have a DC and when shopping I was very interested in the CM but I wanted my bed space. I actually sat in the back of my DC and felt it was quite adequate so I opted for that option. The CM was simply too huge. I could cross my legs in the back with my front seat moved at my driving location. Not sure the reasoning why they went to that large rear seat config.

Easy...... Surprised that nobody mentioned a true rear locker, you know the thing that makes a 4X4 a 4X4 (almost), not SHOCKS. Shocks are about the ride whether 2wd or 4X4. Diesel....OK, I can go there..........HINO. Not going to happen. MANUAL tranny option with PTO transfer case for PTO winch and other PTO goodies. (For you young un's: PTO =Power Take Off. ) Manual tranny's last forever, you actually control your truck, not a computer. You may need to practice actually driving/deciding what gear to use, you know, how a 4X4 truck really works without a computer thinking for you. Oh' and whatever new engine Toyota "may" come out with.............better be good enough to have no AIP Komiefornicate bullshit requirements on all 50 state Tundras whether you want it or not.

Oh, I forgot a Selfie stick for those go pro mall shots.

It's not the brightness, it's the cut off that's causing the problem...IMHO.
New Tundra's should have projector headlights......like most anything that costs what a Tundra does. Heck, even the Rav 4 has 'em now.
I want the rear seats to slide forward and recline, like they used to. (CM)
I want the storage in the front door arm rests back. W/O an ash tray or the arm rest storage, I don't have anywhere to put parking meter money.
    Diesel option would be great.
The 6.5' bed is a good Idea.

I get the 6.5ft bed for the CMAX, most of these other suggestions are pretty much rinky dink BS that the big three already have.. Think BIG for crying out loud. Don't panic, I'm just my usual self.

Can you be a little more specific on what BIG means?

And what could you add to a tundra where you need a PTO?

Dual tanks is a good idea if there is room. For sure enough room for a new C Max with 8ft bed option They'd sell every single one. I'd bet on it.

Your Tundra has a 10.5" rear end already. Toyota doesn't classify their trucks as in 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, etc like the big three. 10.5" was the largest rear end other than big three super duty's until the new Titan diesel that has a whopping 13.5" rear gear.

I'm not asking for much, just some of the basic crap found on most cars today. Like auto headlights, keyless entry/start, telescoping wheel, rain sensing wipers, auto window up/down, electrical outlet, power tailgate lock, built in garage door opener, and I'm sure there's a few more I can't think of at the moment. All these should be standard on all models and trims.

Fancy dancy goodies that you don't really need but more convenient is not thinking BIG. Those things should be standard. PTO uses?? Are you kidding me??? Nothing stronger than PTO winches for example. Back in the day you could connect all kinds of PTO operated equipment from a PTO equipped vehicle.. Water pumps (if you live off the grid), lumber band saws to cut your own planks, augers, blowers, splitters, PTO tillers, GENERATORS, etc. Check the internet, lots of info there.
    Power take-off
A power take-off or power takeoff (PTO) is any of several methods for taking power from a power source, such as a running engine, and transmitting it to an application such as an attached implement or separate machines.
