What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

This is awesome, the front passenger mat drives me crazy! Why the hell didn’t they add the little toggle things like the driver side. My last Tacoma had them. Sometimes Toyota leaves me scratching my head...

Yup not too long after paint correction and artic coating at the service center today I picked up my truck with a scratch in the door and oil either split or leaking for yet another time. These MFers. They are not going to be happy when I raise hell there tomorrow. This is also not the 1st time both those things have happened here. WTF. They agreed to fix scratch so I was gonna let that slide but now I see oil everywhere under my truck. Yup I'm going ape shit tomorrow, wish me luck I don't get arrested lol.

 

Feel free to join my “therapy group”....still dealing with the incompetence as a result of my previous vechicle (2018 not Toyota). Both the clean up of fluids from the multiple leaks (oil, transmission and rear diff) and the financial restitution that they set the terms of and aren’t following.

I prob need it. This ain't 1st time they scratched or dented, or had oil everywhere. I mean it's a fn oil change and tire rotation. How fn hard is it to give me my truck back without dents, scratches, or oil everywhere.

True, when he hears how pissed I am he's probably gonna have the police waiting there for me to show up. It's too bad too because I actually like the service director, he's a good guy and he had nothing to do with it. It's just the fn morons they hire. They hire these young punks from Lincoln tech right across the street, fresh out high school. Unfortunately the guy I like is gonna catch the brunt of my frustration. Too bad because we've developed a little relationship over the years but I already know he's catching my temper. I'll send picks at 7am and pop in after work to show in person.

 

Get back to Tundra porn, I'm already firing myself up.

 

Hopefully he will do the right thing and understand.

 

This is them being told to be careful and the 2 kids doing it being forewarned since I've had issues in past. You don't want to see the puddle of oil in top of my skidplate or the scratch in door where they clearly opened into something.

Alright I'm done venting. Gonna save my anger for tomorrow.

 

As a former service manager, a little tip for your case. Photograph and document your damages. Don't admit to going anywhere since service (grocery store, mall ect). They'll argue that you cannot prove the damage occurred from their service since you cant negate it wasn't caused by a shopping cart or a herd of children piling out of a Suburban. Cut out the middle man and speak directly to the service/facility manager or even owner if applicable. Keep the "cards" in your hand that you may (without sounding threatening) share your negative experiences with the "MANY" Toyota enthusiast groups you meet with regularly and may file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Just trying to help. I'm not one to complain, ever, but I would be ripped if I was you. I've dealt with irate customers in similar circumstances and know what got corporate activated to make things right.

Appreciate the info. I previously worked for them and showed the damaged door before I left. I was going to let it slide again since he said they will take care of it and bring it to their paint shop to fix. Even with this being the 2nd time to happen there. They did a decent job on the 1st and that was worse, so I was pissed but was just gonna swallow it as shit happens, yet again. But now I look under my truck and theres fn oil everywhere. He either spilled it or it's leaking. I'm guessing from looks its leaking. This was all after the kids were told to be very careful on my truck. But none the less I appreciate your advice.

Fortunately the service director is a good guy, but honestly I don't think I'd be happy just to have the scratch fixed with some touch up and the oil cleaned up.

What's fair to ask for to make me feel a bit better. Only reason I even go there is bc I have a credit from them fn up my door last time. I probably still have hundreds in credit there.
