    I think that my all time favorite is Megadeth. I think I have seen them 9 times in concert - Mustaine is freaking insane on the guitar.
    A close second would be Slayer.
    Other metal bands that I enjoy:
    Metallica (prefer ...and Justice for All and earlier)
    Testament (especially with Alex Skolnick)
    Iron Maiden
    Corrosion of Conformity
    Anthrax
    Machine Head
    Lamb of God
    Killswitch Engage
    Arch Enemy
    Pantera
    Dream Theater (another guitar god)


    there are others, but that is what is in my current playlist I have going right now.

    I looked it up. That one’s not too bad. This was over 10 years ago when I saw them. I think I just shut down. I wanted to rock out but couldn’t because of their pop rock. I was much younger. Things might be different today.

    Bruce and John because I hate that every song is just pandering to their fans. Pearl Jam is almost entirely because of Eddie Veder's voice. And the Eagles, oh the Eagles. I respect Henley's skill as a songwriter, I do, it's not easy. I just don't like them, I can't pinpoint a single reason, it's just the whole package, don't like them. (Full disclosure, I don't HATE the song "Wasted Time")

    Because those are just a givin. Funny it’s not like they are horrible musicians. Everything they make is pretty catchy. It’s just the consensus to hate them LOL. My mom liked Nickelback. I used to make fun of her. But now it just reminds me of her, so I like them now ha ha
    Even though I heard they don’t even like their own music, they just make it because it makes money.

    It’s all good. I think it’s because I live my life with a soundtrack in the back of my head. I have listened to so much music in my life that it all has a place in my memory. My dad loved the Eagles and it just brings me back.

    Skynyrd? I guess I can see why someone wouldn't like them - or southern rock in general - it does have a certain twang that could be annoying to some. I've always liked them, though.

    Rush, Aerosmith, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppellin, The Who etc. Nirvana sucks donkey balls.

    I turn off pretty much anything considered classic rock and/or bands where the lead singer is a guy but sounds like a chick. I can't stand the long ass songs from that era either. Metallica is ok, ACDC has a few ok songs.

    I actually prefer hard rock and metal from after the year 2000. Gimme five finger death punch, Shinedown, Killswitch Engage, etc and i'll head bang all day lkng.

    My view is the classic bands laid the foundation for rock. That didnt make it good.

    But then..Im only 29 years old. lol

    Working in a record, tape, and CD store for a few years back in the day means that I have an appreciation for all types of music. But their are certain bands that I can't stand or genres that are less appealing. I can go for some old school Run DMC but none of that new rap/hip hop. New country? It kinda sucks. But their are new artists that have something similar to that old country sound like Jon Pardi. Most of the new country music is just Pop music.
