Do you have heated side mirrors?

You should have heated windshield at the base for the windshield wipers.

Maybe I do then but I thought only the Platnum had it. Is there a way to do a visual check?

Nope. You can turn on your heated mirrors and wait a few minutes, then touch the windshield under the wipers. Should be warmer than the rest of the glass. Or, you have to remove the shroud in front of the wipers to do a visual inspection.

its really an oddity not to have heated wiper park area on our trucks but they do exist on the sr/ tundra grade models

Yup, I found out my truck has this feature after 2 years of owning it. Only ever used the heated mirrors until the glass is clear, but the heated wiper strip is sure to get some use when I’m driving in heavy snowfall conditions.

Exactly what I did, it’s very noticable after being on for about 10 minutes.

This might be a dumb question but is their a button to turn on the heated mirrors? I don't remember seeing one but that brochure link says I have them. It also says I have the windshield wiper de-icer.

Try it. Turn your heated mirror on for at least a few minutes, and feel around the wipers.

I read somewhere on here about if being part of a “cold weather” package, figured it might since the truck was originally sold in Dawson Creek. Sure enough, way warmer than the wife at 2A.M.

Look up the brochure for your year of truck.. I know it is standard across the board for all models in 2016 and 2018...
