2016 Toyota Tundra with swollen lug nuts- common issue I guess. I don't want to replace every 3 years. Anybody know if lug nuts exist for this truck that don't have the cap in order to eliminate the swelling issue? I bought acorn nuts, because the purchasing website said they'd fit my truck. Found out after I need mag shank nuts. I can't find any without caps.

Disclaimer- Not a car person- go easy on me please if I don't speak the lingo.

    Check out gorilla lug nuts.

Toyota truck ones are 73148TXX - chrome, 73148TXXBC - black chrome

    They are very nicely made.

You have no idea how sick I am of talking about swollen nuts!

gdiep- I saw those. They look just like the ones I have. I don't know if there is a way to find out if they are capped like the original or if they are a solid piece. They are my backup plan if I can't find uncapped because they are MUCH cheaper than Toyota's $320 for a set... especially if I end up having to change them every 3 years.

    I saw these:

    https://setgroupusa.com/products/20...3_EEev-JW4YmoBJ2hs243nvW9z0u5lcwaAoczEALw_wcB

A review said they were one piece, but once again they look like the originals. I don't know if there is a way to tell?

Nice truck. Wish I could help with your situation but not familiar with your swollen nut problem. I am sure some more experienced enthusiasts on this forum will be more than happy to provide you with a cure...

Will Toyota replace your swollen n... er, I mean “lug nuts” under their 3-year bumper to bumper warranty?

The warranty is suppose to cover bumper to bumper and those swollen nuts fall within those parameters...

Nope, no nut replacement. They replaced one because they took it off and couldn't get it back on. Then told me I needed 19 more, make that 9, make that 3, make that 20, make that 15. Nuts don't shrink, so their numbers don't jive. I won't be purchasing from them on policy alone.

Side note- My truck is the only one with nuts.

Not sure about the style that works with the alloys, but here are photos of the acorn bulge style that work with the steelies. Theses are gorilla in black chrome. Very heavy and very well made. Used these on a previous vehicle that I no longer own.
