So I just learned that my gen 3 2018 has a feature that my Gen2 2007 did not. I've had the new truck for about a month-and-a-half now and just realize that when you tap the blinker (not fully engage) to do a quick lane change the blinker will blink 4 times. I know it sounds menial but I think it's pretty cool. Does everyone know this or am I just a little slow LOL?o_O

I wouldn’t call yourself slow... buts it’s know fact :)
If it makes you feel any better I didn’t realize you could start the truck by pushing the key to “on”. No twist and hold required.

I wish my first gen did that... anyone know of a mod or do I have to keep doing things the old fashioned (manual, aka: boring) way?

Could you please elaborate? How would you push the key to on without turning and holding it?

You don’t have to hold the key in the start position. If you just bump the start position with the key the truck will start.

Mine only blinks 3 times. Next service I will have the dealership program it to blink 5 times.

You mean turn the key to on and then push in on the key towards the column and it will start?

Okay I think I understand you mean turn the key but you don't have to hold it just one click forward let go and it will crank over till it starts is that correct?

You might be able to change the amount of blinks in your head unit. I was able to with my 2016 Tacoma.

If you have the right trim level you can auto open and close your windows and sunroof too using techstream or carista

Well that would be very useful to seeing as I have already left my sunroof open and had a little rain. I will definitely have to look into that. Thank you very much:bowdown:

It's called "Auto Crank". My 2008 has this feature as well. WISH I had the 3 blink lane change feature like the newer models.

Hyundai Tucson you can change the blink frequency right from settings. Anyone know if we can change our own?

    Not nearly enough room here!
Do a search for KAHTEC, easy to wire and blinks signal 4 times with a 'tap'.
