Hey guys, getting an upgrade and here is what I am going with:

    RF 6x9 in front doors
    RF 6.5 in rear doors
    JL Audio 10W0v3-4 (x2)
    2x10" Box from Fox acoustics

    2011 Toyota Tundra CrewMax

My question is, can a 600 watt 5 channel amp power all this or should I look at going with a 1000 watt amp? Thanks!

And also, amp recommendations are appreciated!

I still don't fully understand the difference. The watt rating for the subs is 75-300

RMS is true power........so example my sub has max handle 1100 watts but the RMS is 750 .......so the amp I purchased is 1500 watt max but the RMS that is true power is 900 at 2 ohms......to make sure I can power it enough

So if I have 2 subs with an RMS of 75-300 each, as well as door speakers I am wanting to run off the new amp, I should probably go with a 1000 watt amp? Obviously I wont be running both subs at 300 RMS though, so maybe 600 would be fine?

It is always better to over power by a bit then to under power a sub...............watch some YouTube videos and you can learn quite a bit I watched some before putting mine together

1000 watt RMS amp, if your 6.5 and 6x9 all draw 75 rms, thats 300 watts, then 300 per sub you are at 900 watts rms.

That'll work too! You just have to get a distribution block to split the power wire coming from the battery.

Should work. You’ll want to pair the sub and the box for air volume as well. The sub will have Ported or sealed box size notes. Try to fit in that volume for best performance. A lot going on with stereos

In all honesty if your a noob and have cash to spend bring it to an audio shop and say this is what I’m willing to spend. They will give you your best bang for buck and a good setup tuned correctly. My 2 cents

That box looks good enough for the ported bart it show 2.2 cubic feet of air space and the subs show max size of 1.25 cubic per sub

Too much beer to read all this. What amp exactly are you looking at? Need to know the per channel split. Sounds low for 2 10s.

Okay cool so that sounds like it should be fine
I was comparing the RF 600 watt 5 channel and their 1000w 5 channel. I’m now also looking at the pioneer 5 channel that does 75x4 and 600x1
My stock is absolute piss so I’m looking for far superior to stock. I listen to a lot of metal so for me it’s all about the drums and crisp vocals/guitars

The 1000 watt one, 100w x4 and 600w x1 should be good. 600 watts split for 2 subs will go well.

I've been eyeballing that same amp for when I scrap my system and start over.

The RF 1000x5 is 500x1 at 1 ohm. The pioneer is 600x1 at 2 ohm

Am I the only one that looks at the fuses in the amp and adds them together and multiplies it buy the battery output voltage to get my watts?

If a amplifier only has one 25amp fuse its not going to put out no where near 1000 watts.

i have this amp. it's 125 x 4 and 500 x 1. so you get 125w for each of the doors and 500 into the sub. i'm only running a single 12" though.

I am a Hertz audio guy. Sometimes total RMS isn't a factor in comparison to clarity. Just my opinion .
