    I get that completely, but steel trumps aluminum when it comes to strength every time. Unless there's some sort of compound added or convoluted support system.

    I have no idea either. What I do know is seeing several pictures of tundras getting hit/rollovers at up to 70 mph and families walking away with cuts and bruises.

    Not sure where the ratings come from, but I have seen what happens to the Tundra/Toyotas in accidents. I will remain a Toyota owner.
