I am looking at putting dual exhaust on my 2015 tundra sr5. I was thinking about going with the trd dual exhaust. What are you thoughts.

So I have had many "brand name" mufflers on various trucks in the past. I currently have a dual TRD on my 2015 1794 and I can absolutely say that I love it. If had to do it again, I would once again get the TRD. The sound is very mellow and smooth. It's louder than stock (not by much)so at idle and low throttle you know it's there, but not obnoxious. Open it up and the exhaust does come alive. I won't get into the performance gains (I don't believe in them) as I do it soley for sound/pure joy. In the end it's what your looking for. I value the TRD logo and mellow sound. Now don't get me wrong, I do appreciate the sound of a wild cammed out big block, but not for my daily driver. Just my 2cents. Good luck with whatever you choose, but no buyers remorse over here!

I have had mine on for a few weeks.

First no drone at highway speeds, that's a good thing
Great sound off the line and when you throttle down to pass..
    Looks great on the truck

I think its a great system designed to give some performance and sound.

Love mine but I think it would smooth out the sound with a crossover pipe.

I'm seeing two different TRD exhaust systems ...

Part #PTR03-34101 for just under $600
Part #PTR03-34106 for just under $400

Both product descriptions say dual cat back systems with etched TRD logos on the tips. Can anyone enlighten me about a difference between the two other than $200.

One is the muffler section and the other is the tail pipe section.

I heard a buddy's Tundra with a Flowmaster 50 series on it and had to have one in mine.

It's a dual in/dual out muffler that sounds amazing. There is a crossover built into the muffler. It drones at about 50 mph but if you add or subtract 5mph it goes away.

    I love the rumble.

I just got mine on Saturday and really like it so far. Sounds good when you get on it, once on the highway, I really don't hear it at all over the radio. Around 50 mph, you do hear it a little more, may have a little drone, but if you change your speed a couple mph, it goes away.

Love mine. Came with it from factory. Just the right amount of rumble for me. It was sufficient to be able to add an upgraded intake.

I'm getting that same setup done Saturday except with the Super 40. $600. I like the TRD exhaust a lot but a bit too pricey for my money tree funds.

I went with a Borla system on my 2014 TRD. The fit and finish was excellent. Me and a buddy installed it in my driveway in a little more than an hour. Everything bolted up perfect. I love the low mellow sound ( louder and better than stock for sure) but not obnoxious ( middle age dude here), and NO FREEWAY DRONE!!! And WOT sounds AWESOME!!! I installed a Magnaflow system on my last truck... Louder system, cool sound but you had to yell to have a conversation on the freeway because of the drone. I would spend the $$$ again for the Borla system on my next Tundra...

Isn't the trd dual exhaust a borla system?

Going to get the TRD dual exhaust in the next few weeks. Seems logical to me that a more free-flowing exhaust may be better for the longevity of an engine. Can you guys respond to any mpg changes since installing this exhaust?
