-6" RCD lift in front. -Custom leaf springs in rear 4" lift. -17" race line, raptor wheels. -35" Goodyear Duratrac. -4.88 gears. -ARB rear air locker. -ARB air compressor and tank. -Custom front sway bar quick disconnect -Custom one piece driveshaft -Black Oak Led 40 watt ditch lights.
Yeah if I were to do a Hot Metal Fab one I would have them custom make it. That one is too short for what I'd like to do. I would like to have a basic Overland rack. That runs just below the height of the cab.tundpack-1.jpg the point of the rack for me is a place to put my spare tire. A 35 won't fit under the truck. I plan on mounting a tire hoist on the underside of the rack. Allowing me to hang the tire up on the inside of the rack. I would also like to get a black soft top made that would button down over the top of it. I would just Mount the tire in the bed. Or even a rear bumper with spare tire swing arm. But I need the bed space and my tailgate has to be able to open for my Jon Boat.20180820_192922.jpg

You need to get a rack the same height as the cab and then mount your job boat on the rack. Utilize a roller on the back of the rack to make it easier to load and unload. You can still have a soft top and mount a spare to the rack like Dan did on his 3rd gen: https://www.tundras.com/threads/dans-2014-mid-travel-tundra-build.24083/page-17#post-860817

Just becareful with the spare on the rack. Just had a convo with a group about a 3rd gen that did exactly that. Well it has bent the metal crossbeam where it’s attached. As long as it’s reinforced and secured tightly, shouldn’t have a problem. But I’ll attach the photo just because haha

Zoom in right where the spare is...

Haha, that’s the exact setup I linked above. I guess Dan did that in Death Valley trying to keep up with the SGU guys?

Oh lol. Yeah I didn’t click on your link...

I’m not sure it was from the trip trying to keep up or what, but apparently it was super wobbly and it was only a matter of time till that momentum made its mark lol

Those RCI racks don’t appear to have very thick gauge steel, especially where Dan mounted the spare. That’s a lot of weight pulling at a small centralized spot.

I've been imagining something similar to the all pro one but I would like a military style green canvas cover on it. If I can find a place to make a cover maybe I'll build one.

You’re not jacking the thread. After all these suspension parts are installed, the next thing is a bed rack so it’s on topic.

There are plenty of fabric shops that can make you a cover. Best option would be a shop that makes “snap on” boat covers. They’ll be able to make a removable soft top no problem.

What you see is what you get. It’s a one off that Rickashay(Addison) had built by a shop in BC. He designed it with the removable rear hoop for his canoe and to work with his tonneau cover. It’s pretty amazing and I would like to have a shop replicate it. Here’s his old build thread over on expo: https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/rickashays-04-tundra-a-build-of-compromises.133068/

    So... Chris...
I don't want to jack your thread... however... this seems to be where all the 1st gen owners are convening with good intel  so,

what you guys gonna use to attach dust/ follow lights on the back/ rack? Have you decided yet, or holding off til you get to the rack stage of your build? I just bought a pair of BD combos.

It all depends on what rack I go with. If I go custom tube like the one above, I’ll do something similar to this:
House Tuning 4pcs 1.75" Tube Clamp Bracket ,Roll Bar Light Clamp,Roll Bar Mounting Brackets for off-road lighting LED Bars (1.75"-Clamp Mount kit)

If I go KB Max modular the mounting will be much easier. I’m sure there are holes already in the rack that I can utilize.

I have some Rigids attached to my roof rack with Mounts just like what @Casper421 posted. Super cheap.

Ordered the last suspension parts but ran into a little hiccup. I upgraded the springs to 700lb’s on the ICON 2.5’s but I won’t receive them for 4-5 weeks. :censored: So now the coilovers and leaf pack will arrive at the same time and i can install everything at once, just have to be patient.

Oh okay so they are aimed a little high then when you say they need adjustment. I just ordered some wide cornering sports as well for fogs, I'm excited to see what kind of cutoff they have.

Yeah, they’re aimed too high. Not sure how much I can adjust them though. They’re not blinding at drivers height but still extremely bright and somewhat distracting. My driveway isn’t quite level or big enough to get a shot of the output and cutoff. Need to find a level place to adjust them and the retros once they’re done.
