Hello all!! New to the page and looking for some feedback.

I have a 2008 Tundra CM 4x4 with stock suspension and a Truxxx spacer lift. I was looking to upgrade the suspension to allow for a better ride and for larger tires (hopefully 295/70/18)

I recently ordered some OME612 coilovers, OME nitro rear shocks, SPC upper control arms, and a Coachbuilder +3 shackle kit.

What are your thoughts on the combo? Any information from anyone running any part of this set up is greatly appreciated. Also planning on installing myself. Any help anyone has regarding install is much appreciated also!!

@Grey Wolf has OME all the way around on his rig, can't remember what exact coils he's running. I know there's at least a few more guys that I'm not thinking of right now.

On another note, welcome! Is yours pyrite mica or MGM, I can't quite tell?

It is Pyrite Mica. How do you like your Nitto Ridge Grapplers? I was looking to get those same tires once I install suspension.

Ah I love that color, nearly bought one in that color rather than the DS I have now. Just didn't want to wait 3 days for my dealer to go pick it up in AZ.

I love my Ridge Grapplers, they're only a hair louder than the crappy BFG AT's I had before. They also seem to get good grip in various terrain, granted I haven't really put em through their paces offroad yet. Had em in the sandhills here in eastern CO a few weeks ago hunting, and for being at highway pressure they did pretty well I thought.

I've have the same OME setup except I went with the 614 coil. Have an AAL out back with ToyTec shackles. Ride over all is pretty good where I wheel. Street is a bit stiff but to be expected. I still need to add the SPC's. My alignment is pretty decent as is but still want to lose the factory uca's. Install was fairly straight forward. Disconnected front sway bar links from the LCAs. Had to pry down the LCA a bit to fit in the coil assy.

Good choice. Can't go wrong with OME. I have 614 kit also. 612 should give you a softer ride than 614.

What size tires are you running with the 614s? I was hoping to get 295/70/18 under the 612s. and preferably without doing a body chop.

I'm running with 295/70/18. No cab mount chop needed. The 614s got me almost 3" lift even with my winch bumper. Pretty much 2.75". Lift depends on springs used and spring load.

So I received all of my suspension parts this weekend!! I am still trying to figure out if I am going to try and install everything myself, or take it to a shop. The first shop I went to quoted me $1050!!!!! Hopefully I can find someone much cheaper than that otherwise I am going to be doing myself.

That being said I wanted to see what tools I would be needing. I am a carpenter by trade so I have a ton of tools, although probably mostly the wrong tools to become a mechanic! I was hoping to compile a list with everyones help so I do not have to run to the store a million times while doing the install.

Also wondering the order I should do the install. My thinking was UCA's, front coilovers, rear shocks, then shackles. Let me know if I should go in a different order?

    thanks ya'll!

Do the UCA's at the same time when you install the coil overs. Install the shackles and then the shocks......

I have 295/70/18, Nitto Trail Grappler. You could run that size as long as you keep your wheel offset not too low. My offset is 18 mm. I would go for 25-35.

I have 3 & 1/2 inches from the OME 614 coils. The tires were rubbing in the front. I had to take the small flaps off, then loosen the whole plastic liner, push in the liner (I think about 3/4 inches) then made another hole and rescrewed. The rear side, I was lucky enough not to have to cut the body mount. But it was verrrry close. These 295s are no joke. My fav pic of comparing 295/70/18 to the stock tires . . .
