    Hi all.
So, I bought a new front diff for my 07 tundra. Checked the build sheet with the local dealership with my vin and was informed that my 5.7 limited had a 4.3 front diff with 10inch ring gear... so bought that.
The old one had the bad bearing.
Now. I've had the truck a year and it would always show 303 miles when I fill it up with gas... since changing out the diff, it now shows 438 miles to empty... BUT is also getting roughly 1.3mpg less, according to the computer... truck feels so much smoother now, but this seems a bit odd.
    Anyone seen this before?

    Welcome.

Did the battery get disconnected? This resets the mileage calculator.

I had to change out my front diff and my mileage took a pretty good dive even long after break in and changing fluid a couple times.

Yes, the battery did get disconnected. Had the starter motor replaced at the same time.
