2018 Tundra Steering felt little stiff today

Hi All,
Temp is below 45 degree F since yesterday. Steering felt really stiff when I drove today. I have 275/55R/20 Tires and 20x9 wheels. And tires pressure were 31 so I filled the air upto 36. But still it was almost similar and then I drove little and did full turns and then it got smooth. I don’t know what was the issue? Does anyone have that issue? Or is it normal? It is brand new 2018 Tundra with 7k miles on it.

 

Was it continuous or spotty stiffness when turning the wheel?

why are you running such low tire pressure?

 

It decreases due to cold weather. I always filled upto 36. What is normal tire pressure you keep?

 

I mean is it the entire time your turning the wheel or in certain spots while turning it?

No pump whining or anything?

 

No everything was working fine. It was just feeling little heavy. I think it might be because of cold weather and tires might remained cold.

 

The oil is probably lower viscosity at lower temps too.

 

I have the TSS 20" wheels on 285/55/20 tires and my door sticker says 50 psi. Same size tires rims on my 2013 and I always run 50 psi.

 

Actually higher. Brake fluid molecules' friction increases slightly as temps drop. I say slightly because brake fluid is neither a shear-thinning or shear-thickening liquid as stresses are increased in colder temp conditions.

 

Wow that's crazy! Mine are only at 32 psi
