Thats a good question, sadly there really isnt any info available on any of their products.

Im pretty sure Smaty Trend is a German based company, Chinese build house. So i would feel a bit more confident that they are not a typical rebadged generic headunit. And might have legitimate tech/help support. That said, this is just in my opinion.

It is weird, though. Reviews are almost non existent on any of their products. Just some mentions here and there on some forums. Most were posted at Xda. Nothing negative was mentioned that i found.

    Thats encouraging.

The listed intergration features is pretty extensive and claims the installation is plug and play.

The OS is upgradeable to atleast Android Pie (9.1). Thats a big plus.

Only things that seem like some may consider as negatives, imo, are the boot time isnt the fastest. About 20-25 seconds is what is advertised.

And not much offered for audio adjustment.
Hard to decipher, the translation over to 'merican could be better.

Oh, it does have a dedicated sub output and sub volume/eq (/crossover?).

Its definitely an interesting headunit that seems to offer alot of, if not all, the intergration features that your truck came with, plus the ability to add some of the ones that didnt come stock.

Someone should definitely buy it and report back if it was gem or a bust!...

As Chris said, looks like another android HU made in China with the reseller in Germany. And it's not taking advantage of removing the big OEM HVAC controls so you get a large screen like the Phoenix ones.

I'd be weary without reviews and support. At least Phoenix has a fb group and support thread here where solutions to problems are crowd sourced from owners, some very technical. Responses are relatively quick.

If you must stick to that smaller form factor, I think you'd be better off getting a tried true HU from Kenwood, Pioneer or Alpine with Android or CarPlay.

If your looking for info on android headunits check out XDA Forums. They have a big group on their. I know if it is a MTC type unit you have a very lage group, the all-winner type unit there coming up. If you can find out the type MCU you will have better luck. I have had a MTC type unit since 2014 and has be a lot of custom support as well and help with the stock unit.

Im guessing they have root and custom boot loader exploits available for those MTC unots then? Cause that would be pretty fun.

Most of the Android headunits I see on XDA can be rooted by KingRoot from what i read. The MTC MCU's have 2 custom ROMS one with many features and xposed support, the other is more stockish but with some useful features. Majority of these android units are Chinese based but have various resellers.
