Probably, but to answer that question you need to understand what your amp per hour draw will be, for how long, and how much driving you do in between. I imagine you aren't running your lights all night long unless you like that when you're sleeping.

Most dual battery setups I've seen are overkill but some know that and do it anyways for security. Although if you get stuck, a jump pack will get you going again which you should have anyways even with dual batteries.

Dual batteries are really more for if you are base camping for 3 days or longer without driving in between, and running a fridge, lights and charging other batteries.

I went with Interstate. Odyssey tempted me, but my check-book just LOL'd at that idea.

As there are stores all over, for nearly all of the brands mentioned, you can get a replacement while on a trip. You just may need to scan/save the receipt. I like to road-trip and friends/family have had better experience with getting an Interstate replacement.

    Flux capacitor!
I went with a Shuriken AGM battery. I did upgrade my alternator to a 240 amp output and upgrade my power and ground to 1/0 wires at the same time. I did this because of all the lights I have and my stereo. After seeing @Larmand monitoring system, I’ve got a new mod to do. Lol 9F2E05F9-7AC5-491E-8CB0-EE41342352BA.jpg

Interstate Batteries MTZ-34 AGM battery. It had a 48 month free replacement warranty and seemed to be the most reasonable of the AGM batteries price wise. I had a bad experience years ago with the Optima red top so I'll never purchase one of their batteries again. About three months after mine died, I was back at Interstate purchasing a second one for my wife's Acura MDX.

Im pretty sure you can buy Deka batteries for our trucks (also known as East Penn). Just not a common one people look for, nor are they a household name like Optima or Northstar. My buddy just got one for his GMC work van. Only one place i know of in my town that sells them tho.

I'm looking at the X2 Power, 20% off at Batteries+. Mine is the original one that came with the truck 5 years ago this past September. Probably six months older than that since it was a demo and the last 13 on the lot.
I asked this in another thread, but never got an answer, has anyone used a memory saver before? I'm looking at this one.

Interstate. They are perfectly good for normal people who don't have all the signal lights, missile tracking systems, laser arrays and flame throwers that these guys are installing on their tundras now-a-days.

After doing some research I'm leaning towards Interstate as well. $130+tax at a shop near me. For traditional(non AGM) batteries, they seem to be one of the better choices.

I'm still waiting for the ATF to approve my missile system.

I just ordered an Interstate MTP-24F, should be at my shop this afternoon. I've cleaned corrosion off of the terminals twice in the past several months and the original battery will be 6 years old in May. Figured it's time to swap before it decides to leave me high and dry.

If you got 6 years on the OEM battery you're very lucky. Most people are lucky to get 2-3 years.

I just replaced my OEM battery. Just about 6 years out of it. Probably could have let it ride a little longer, but it seemed to be a little sluggish this winter, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on an Odyssey Extreme.

I still have the prof toyota battery that came with my truck in 2015. Looking to get an AGM 27F X2 for peace of mind before the stock one fails me.

    Lost track after #1.
Probably benefit from a beefier alternator and cabling at that point as well.
