I'm still a few mods from any real off-roading, so I haven't solved this yet.

Hey man, saw you went with 35-12.5-17's. What all did you do to be able to fit those tires? I'm looking at going with 17" Icon rims and 35-12.50's.

I had a cab mount chop, removed mud flaps and trimmed the the front bumper ends and the liner there in the front. With the icon wheels offset it worked perfect on stock suspension. No rubbing even offroad on stock suspension. Good luck

Hey guys, I'm going to be ordering up some rebounds.

Is the general consensus that a 2.5" lift up front will allow a 315/70r17 to fit without cmc? I have no problem adjusting the liner or swapping the factory skid, I just don't want to grind away on a brand new truck.

I'm also wondering if I might have more luck fitting a small 35 inch tire like the Bfg KM3, which is pretty much the same height as a 315/70, but it's a hair skinnier at 12.5" wide instead of 12.7"?

I had to take off the front liner and the front air dam aka mudflap. I could have heated the front liner or moved the bumper but its just as easy to remove the liner.

Yeah I want to know the answer to this magical question too. The research I've done here shows you can do it without needing the CMC or new UCA's.

Anyone running the @Coachbuilder1 steering kit (tie rods) with their Icons? I heard a rumor that with the +25 offset they will rub on the beefier tie rods. Looking for someone to confirm they have tried this combo.

Yes I am also wondering this as well and need to know. I spoke to Dave again yesterday and got a little different info than 1st time. Now my head is really spinning. I'm going to be trying a stock rock warrior wheel with 1.25 spacer sometime next week. Keep an eye out if your curious if that will clear cb steer kit. Will probably give more insight into our above question as well.

I think you were the one who told me the Icons might not work with the CB steering kit. I was hoping someone has tried it and could give us some first hand feedback. Otherwise I might have to go with Methods

Yup it was me. 1st he told me +12 or more negative offset. But after speaking again last night might have changed. The problem is theres so many variables with each setup. He did say a 17x9 with +18 cleared. Also a 18x9 +18 cleared. A member here is going to drop off a 17x8 rock warrior wheel for me this Friday. I'm going to give it a try with my 1.25 spacer and see if it fits.

Right now my stock pro 18x9 wheels and 1.25 spacer I'm fine with +28.75. With rw wheel 17x8 and spacer would be +18.25, if that fits I'm guessing a 17x8.5 icon w/+25 offset should fit too.

Just wish there was 1 other person out there that had a cb steer kit and could confirm for sure. I really don't want to spend a grand in rims not knowing for sure. I'm already playing with fire with these big ass 35x12.5r17 pitbull rocker tires, getting them to fit. That should be enough stress, now I got to worry about this god damn steer kit too. If it wasn't for that I'd just get a 17x8.5 or 17x9 with around +18 to +25 offset and call it a day.

Keep me posted if you find out and I'll do same.
