I'm with you. There's a difference between standing for something and being a coward. That's the problem, too many people take the coward's way out. So much unnecessary crap happening right now.

It's sad and sickening to see it all happening. To know that I'm serving for a country where people do these kinds of things almost on a daily basis at this point is upsetting. I enlisted hoping to protect freedoms and rights but all I've seen is unnecessary violence. Hopefully, one day, people will realize that all this crap isn't helping in any way.

Stay safe out there brother. Those are tough places to be right now.

Makes you wonder if 50-75% of all police force in this country took an extended vacation to enlighten people on their needed presence.

Kind of wish they would for a couple weeks.

I can't believe the way Americans are acting, it's disgusting. It's completely out of hand.

Prayers to the family of those officers.

This shit needs to end and it won't until either the cops stop doing their jobs or normal law abiding citizens stand up as one and take back our streets from these fools who think having a gun makes them a tough guy.

Sadly, it's almost "normal" now to hear of these unfortunate incidents.

I know it has to be more upsetting for you serving a country in so much turmoil. Thank you for your service brother.

I will, I've armed myself and my wife in these times (much to her chagrin, but she does see the danger of NOT having one as opposed to having one)

And funny thing is the people calling for the removal of police forces would be the first ones in line calling for them to come back.

Another crappy thing about this whole BS is some of these attackers served in the US military!!!!

Today's murders were carried out by a Marine. That makes no sense to me, well until I opened up this guys FaceBook page and the first thing that pops up is the shooting video in Baton Rouge.

I don't get it. We need to have a very frank, non PC, adult conversation on why these things are happening. I have a feeling it's going to hurt a lot of feelings because it's been easier to play the victim card for the past two generations. Something is wrong to the core, and it's not poverty or anything else they say. Heck, look at the Japanese. We slaughtered their young men, dropped nukes on their civilians and threw the immigrants in concentration camps only half a decade ago and look how they've rebounded.
Regarding the Marine thing, I strongly believe we need to get rid of the whole "Once a Marine, Always a Marine" saying. If some douche-canoe wants to disrespect the title that we hold so dear, then there needs to be a way of excommunication from our war-cult. Death by former peers sounds like a valid suggestion.

To all the patriots here (all of you) Lets defend our faith, family and our country and everything we hold dear. Let's honor all those who came before us and especially those who paid in blood. Let us pray for peace and be ready to stand together at a moments notice. God bless you all and your families.

This poem is by far my favorite poem besides "The Iron" by Henry Rollins

from the Act of Valor movie by Tecumseh
    Act of Valor Tecumseh

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion;respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.

Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none.

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

It is sad. The same people that are there to serve and protect areally being ambushed and hunted. Unfortunately all this start off with our so called leader. Kinda feel like he is part of that driving force adding gas to the flame.

Some folks think this shit going on is the new normal. If this keeps going on a lot of us may have to show them what the new normal is. Just sayin.
