OEM bed lights

Anyone know if the cargo light fuse applies to the stock bed lights? I can’t get my bed lights to work for some reason.

 

Did you tie into the cargo lights? If so, then yes it does come into play. Did you do the install yourself or did they come installed when you bought them? I’m guessing you unhooked the battery terminal prior to installing.
Could be a wiring issue as well. Mine came with some really cheap connectors. I replaced them with Posi taps so I wouldn’t have any issues down the road.

 

Came with the truck. I am merely trying to get them working again.

 

The most common source of power is either the cargo light circuit or the taillights. Are those lights working properly? If those are working then its likely the lights themselves or the wiring. You can trace the wires from underneath the bed sides and make sure the connections are intact. Short of removing the lower dash to check the connections back there, I don't have any other suggestions... sorry. Install instructions for your model year are attached so you can find the connection points.

 

The cargo lamp and taillights are working correctly. I’d located the wiring harness that runs to both LEDs so I’ll trace the wiring to the inside of the cab. Your schematic will help. Thanks!

 

So, popped a fuse (the in-line 5A)...I’d seen that wire and fuse before as I’m routinely pulling that part of the dash out - just didn’t know that was the bed light LED power. Again, @KnuckleHD thanks for the schematic!
