So my belt was changed @ 85k.... I'm @ 272k now. Talked to several established, competent mechanics and they all said they've seen hardly any ever break. I'm even hearing the teeth on the sprocket are as/more likely to break than t belt as he's seen that. My best friend has an '03 Sequoia with........ 415k on his original belt...... I wouldn't gamble that far.

However, this is an interference engine... if it does break...... goodbye. I don't like fear mongering and I'm pretty stubborn ( my oil change intervals run 12-21k+ miles... gasp !. I have many, many vehicles over 200k that I think prove recommended oil change intervals are a serious $ maker in many situations... but that's another discussion.)

Regardless, truck is going to Arkansas for awhile and I'm changing belt.

From several sources it LOOKS like this is a good, quality, correct kit. I'm posting so we can discuss and I searched and saw nothing. If I missed it and there's a primary thread already, please delete.

    $154.

I guess I need to add anti-freeze, thermostat, and a drive belt maybe ?

As far as the kit...Aisin makes quality parts/kits. Aisin makes the OEM water pump.

You would think, also double check the shipping cost from Rock Auto. That's why I ended up getting it from Amazon.

LOL... I just did that too. Actually RA is $172 and Amazon is $177 but I don't like RA's return policy/experience. Amazon is... wait for it....Rock solid... sorry.

Amazon return policy is as good as it gets.

No joke. I bought some NFab steps winter 2016 from Amazon, noticed in July the powder coat was worn off the front of the steps. NFab states 5 year warranty on the finish and says to contact the seller. Amazon offered me a full refund or they'd drop ship a brand new set, no need to return the old set.

I put the new set on and I'm trying to decide whether to sell the old set or have them done in Linex.

You are putting in new antifreeze when you do the TB right? I used the Zerex Asian pink stuff on my last TB change.

Thats a scary cheap labor price for my local area.

Your quality and parts prices look good though.
