Some help and advice

Living in British Columbia, they will be laying down sand and gravel all winter long. The offset of my winter rims was a little more then I anticipated, and I am curious if that will cause all that sand and gravel to blast my paint and body. Can anyone tell me if I should be concerned?

The winters are Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT2 275/70 r18 - Factory Studded
The rims are Procomp series 32

I had to remove the small mud flaps at the front of the wheel well, and that seems pretty good. No cutting or trimming, but possibly a heat gun and a little plastic pushing

 

Beautiful truck! To answer your question, yes you should be concerned!

 

Fender flares should be considered. You can always take them off in the spring.

 

Also, gravel & rocks could also be thrown up at the vehicle behind you ... not cool.

 

Yea those wheels have a low offset, and you will certainly have crap thrown up and down the truck!!

Where in BC? Yeah get steelies with proper offset. Save you a world of trouble

Thanks, Everyone, switching out the rims, as it is cheaper than adding the fender flares. 35mm or 20mm offset vs 0 on the Procomps. A couple of good sites I found to help out with all the decision making and finding rims.

Custom offset is a great site! I would definitely stay near +35mm if possible,

 

I had the same question before I saw a lots of paint chips from oem tires

 

So thanks for all the advice. Shop was great and took back the rims and replaced them with these. Not a 100% sure, as they are a little glossy, but will soon be covered grit and dust from BC highways.
