WeatherTech or Husky floor mats?

How do you get the AutoAnything deal?

 

There's a thread on here you post to, or you can send a PM to Auto Anything. Then @eccracer104. will respond Mon-Fri with a best price. Are you getting the Husky weatherbeaters or X-act for the fronts? I think the X-act might be made better, plus they look like they might also protect better.

 

I was guided to Weather Beater. I was told they matched the WT back better. Any reason I should go Xact for front?

 

Compare them via pics side by side. I think the channels look like they could hold more snow.

 

I agree with both. I prefer the X-act for mud/ snow/ traction. But if OP wants to mix Husky (front) with Weathertechs (tear), the Weetherbeaters look more similar to the Weathertechs than the X-act do.

 

Do the XActs look good/bad or just different with the WT back? Unfortunately I can only get impressions from pics. I have never seen any husky in person. I did have WT in my last truck.

I have the X-act, front and back. I like them because my primary concern was not trashing my truck with dust and mud when I go off-roading. It does that well and the more-"rubberized" finish gives me better footing when the truck is bouncing around on dirt.

The only people I imagine might need the extra coverage of Weatherbeaters on the back are those with dogs or super small kids, whose dirty shoes will hang close to the front of the seats dropping debris. I have never experienced this but several others have mentioned it as reasons they wanted the full up-under-the-seat coverage in back.

I like the look of the X-act alright, because I'm not a fan of the super-slick, super-shiny look of the Weathertechs and Weatherbeaters. But if I drove a pristine black, or white mall-crawler, I'd probably get Weatherbeaters for the ultra-clean look. The Husky X-act are great imo, and look good protecting the truck, but kinda keep a "dusty" appearance even after cleaning. I like it (but I clean my truck after off-roading but only rinse the tires-- if you're more anal about everything looking "new" again, get the Weatherbeaters).

I love the coverage of the rear WT due to kiddos but want good coverage and non-slip the husky provides for the fronts. I will search for the pics. Thank you!

 

I went with Husky Weather Beater fronts and Weather tech rear. Great combo. For those that have the Husky front, has anyone ground off the spikes that touch the rocker panel and other trim? Looks like it would scratch the heck out of it.

 

I've had both. Bought weathertech's first and HATED them. I actually sent them back to the company and bought Husky Liners. They fit better front and rear, don't have the weird lip in the back that you kick everytime you get into the back seat of the truck. The spikes don't bother anything but the carpet in my truck. I've had Husky liners in other vehicles and should have known, but oh well.

 

I want to try husky. Tried weathertech in my GTI, I don't wear work boots or any sharp edged shoes and I managed to wear holes in the driver side mat. My left foot braking and double clutch shuffle is too much for them to handle I suppose. Had them almost 3 years, holes developed after 2.

 

I had WeatherTech's in my 4Runner a while back and loved them. Moved on to an F150 and ordered Weathertechs and they didn't fit great, they slid around, and warped a bit. I sent them back and ordered Huskies X-ACT's. That is what I had in my Tacoma and what I ordered for my Tundra. They just seem like a better product to me.

 

If you get one that goes under the back seat, ESP or any other storage mod gets partially covered.ESP’s should be standard, wasted usable space there.

 

That said, I do like the coverage of Husky’s under and over the sides. Achuop makes custom label inserts too.
In fact looks like this person cut his, I can see ESP framing, savage.

 

I've used Husky for the past three trucks and I went with them again on this Tundra. I didn't really care about having the full length ones that extend up and under the backseat as I didn't want to have to cut around the ESP Truck storage trays.

 

Bought the Husky X-act contour....they are good but not perfect. I bought the short version for the back row...buy the extended version that covers under the seat.

 

Anyone worried about the husky cleats scratching the crap out of the trucks plastic molding.

 

No worries; everyone knows weathertechs are the best anyway.

 

I have the extended ones; installed it first and cut out for the ESP so it is now tucked in under the storage.

Are these the Weatherbeaters of X-act Contours?

 

I was wondering about this with the x-act Contours... I have the Waetherbeaters and they show scuffs and dirt until I rinse/scrub them well. Sounds like your x-act Contours do the same or worse with scuffs/dirt?

 

Um, kind of th opposite. X-act contours have kind of a porous-looking surface. It's not porous but it looks "casual" compared to very "formal", shiny look of the Weatherbeaters (and Weathertechs), if that makes sense. So individual marks or dirt don't show up as "scuffs" on X-act like they would on Weather.... Mine are pretty dirty now. Let me know if you want me to pay of pic of them dirty. I could snap one tomorrow.

For what it’s worth, if you ever sell the truck, you can sell your weather techs on CL or eBay for close to what you paid for them
