Hey gang. I had my shop install the Icon add-a-leaf kit and ended up with two unused leafs per side. Is there any reason to keep these? I can't imagine ever ditching the Icon kit. They only have about 2000 miles on them, so I'd probably just sell them for cheap if not.

I’d keep em if it were me, I’d wonder if you couldn’t find a way to add em back into the pack if you wanted. I say that because the Icon expansion pack has a rep for getting soft and sagging.

How do you like the Icon set up.

I'd keep the leafs until I sold the truck, my 2cents.

On the road, compared to the stock Bilstein B6 series, the Icons have a tighter feel when cornering and going over speedbumps. I would almost say it's stiff like a race car, which is kind of nice. The truck doesn't roll as much, it's kind of analogous to the handling improvement felt when putting a good aftermarket sway bar in an older car. Also, over speed bumps, the rear wheels track better; with the stock rear suspension, I found that the rear end bucks and unweights going over speedbumps, sometimes even chirping the rear tires a bit.

When off-roading, the bumpy ride is softened slightly though it's not butter like I was kind of expecting. The wheels definitely track better to the dirt, and there is much less unweighting of the wheels from the surface, and therefore much better traction. Hitting tall water bars at speed -- not crazy speed because I usually have passengers and gear that I don't want launched all over the cab -- doesn't launch the front of the truck up as much, and then when the front end is coming down the backside of the water bar at speed, the front end compression is somehow soft without being super deep, and the rebound is very smooth and short, compared to stock which gave a BIG deep compression hit with possible bump-stop engagement, and then a BIG pogo upwards with unweighting of the front wheels and subsequent loss of traction. Put more simply, hitting water bars don't cause a lot of upy-downy stuff and the wheels track against the dirt better, so water bars that are in the middle of a turn can be taken at speed without fear of skidding sideways off the trail immediately upon "landing." By landing, again, I'm not talking about going so fast I actually catch air, I just mean the downward gravity crush that follows the unweighting is very controlled and provides great traction.

They look pretty bad ass too.

Better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them IMO. Sell them with the truck if and when that time comes.

I gave mine to a Tundra bro here on the forum ( Almaboy).
I would like to get a set back if I could find them. Let me know if you choose to let them go.
