Andriod phone contacts syncing.

I did a search and didn't find anything specifically relative to this question. My '13 Crewmax has the OEM base audio unit without cameras. I've managed to "PAIR" my Android phone for making/receiving calls and streaming audio... NP. However, for the life of me, I can NOT figure out how to sync my contacts from the phone to the truck!

Excuse my ignorance, ( I AM old) but do I need to upgrade the unit... or is there a button pushing solution?

Bump. Anybody bored at work and can help this guy out? (I have an Android, never bothered to sinc it, but it might be cool to know the answer for Someday.)

I synced mine okay, but it was a long time ago. I'd have to go look in the manuals. Can't do that until tomorrow, but I'll have a look then and see if I can find anything. Mine's a Limited, though, with the 12 spkr JBL unit, nav and camera.

 

Yeah, that may be the problem. Your high end unit probably was designed to accept syncing. I have the base model. Looks like I either pony up for an upgrade or start putting in over 100 contacts manually. UGH!!

Much grass, Mike. I actually watched the same video while trying to figure this out. Pairing went great. I can call, receive and stream Pandora.
However, my contacts, alas, did NOT get synced. I'm starting to believe I will have to upgrade or just input all the contacts one at a time. UGH!

 

I have the same oem unit in my 2012. I'm pretty sure you have to manually enter contacts. That's what I gathered from all the research I did at least.

Might be the setting in your phones bluetooth to allow contact share not just audio
