Need Help... Looking to lift my truck...

Looking to add a 4-5 lift on my truck. Don't know where to begin. Not trying to break the bank. Will be doing very little off roading. Mostly for appearance and every day driving. I have visited a few of our local off road outfitters and they all say it's s costly undertaking because it's a 1st gen Tundra. Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

 

Wow, 4-5" is pretty aggressive, it'll be costly to get that height. For a 3" lift though it's pretty reasonable. Look into a set of Bilstein shocks, there's also the option of a coil spring lift. The rear should be easy, get a block for the leaf springs or add a leaf or get a shackle lift. If you've got 4x4 you should look into a differential drop as well.

Don't forget to get an alignment after it's all said and done.

The new tires are going to be your biggest expense after that.

 

Well the plan is to get 35 tires under it. That's why I figured the required lift would be minimum 4 in... Or am I wrong?

 

I was able to get 35's on my F150 with a 3" in the font and 2" in the back. Not sure about yours though. There a bunch of guys alot more knowledgeable than I am on Tundra lifts. Look at the top tabs and you should find some threads dedicated to just suspension lifts and tire sizes.
