Went to Lone Pine this weekend and found some really cool trails!

First time taking my Tundra "off-roading"
Felt really confident on the trails..

We should really setup a group trip here..

Great trip and pics! Thanks for posting up for the SoCal homies. :fistbump:

This would be a way fun trip! Lotta straight highway to get there but it'd be kind of a community service, letting all those people we pass see all these beautiful Tundra trucks, geared-up, in convoy. :p

Plus, we'd have radios to chat the way; we'd be well-entrenched in SoCal camaraderie by the time we "get there". I say yes to this.

    Wanna setup the trip?

The weather was actually pretty nice! 75 during the day and 45-50 during the late nights..
Very cozy around a nice bonefire!

How's it pulling, setting-up, camping with the trailer RTT? Some of us never tire of details....

My trailer was a breeze to tow.. hardly noticeable.
Setting up with the awning and enclosed awning tent took about 10 mins. with a beer in hand.
Camping with it was great. The RTT felt really safe being so high up.. only downside is the crawling out in the middle of the night to use the restroom. lol
I took the trailer on some trails with me as well and it performed with out a hitch!

If i had some Tundra buddies with me i'd feel a little more comfortable tackling more difficult trails.
I have some drone videos of me running some trails but not sure how to post it up on the forums.

Did you stay pretty low altitude? If we stay below the snow line, maybe some would be up for a winter trip.... Hmmmn, but would it be its prettiest? :notsure:

Looking for an easy, comfortable trip we could do right after the first of the year. That's a long way to go, but pretty accessible to get to, and to get around once we're there... Whatever we do in the new year, I hope to entice @Marty and Mrs. McFly, out to join us, before they welcome a new puppy into their home early next spring.

I'd definitely like to head up there though, that trip or another one.

We stayed at the base of the mountain.. Once the snow falls it would have the BEST view!!
There isn't any fees for the campsites during this time of year either!
