What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Of course they wont, its the beurocracy, cant do anything simple or the right way

 

I like the black background with yellow lettering. That's what you mean by custom? Like toy have to ask and pay for that color combo? I hate the new style plates in CT. Old ones were dark blue with white letters. Those were nice

 

Getting the plates in that color makes it personalized, you have a choice of asking for specific letters or numbers (SEP 11) as an example, assuming it isnt taken, otherwise it is random, which is whatever DMV assigns. It costs $50, just a money maker for the state

 

Frame rivets need be ground down and they come off. You can also cut the bracket to be flush with the frame if you want. Just touch up after with the some spray paint.

This style, in black, were originally issued as standard plates i think in the 70's and were brought back as personalized

 

Quite a few people have winter cars. A lot of people lease vehicles around here too. By the time the lease is up, they are rusted out pretty bad underneath.
I will say that pain has come a long way. When I was a kid most cars had body panel rust, that is something you dont see as much with newer cars. But that undercarriage is hidden and rotting way, even on new cars.

 

Hahaha....this is a mod that will be put on the list but done by a mechanic i guess

I plan on going on some trail runs some members locally plan, but i just picked up some full sized spares and need wheels, and im not lookin to rock crawl, with a spacer lift im not comfy tackling anything other than an easy run

Yep, just a few supplies and should be heading out there soon! In the mean time will be heading to AZ after Thanksgiving, to property i have, thats on dirt and gravel road...first inaugural road trip

I love Monterey, and the aquarium and Hwy 1 drive! My brother and his family live in Fremont, they usually come down here to visit us. One of the locals from here was just camping up the coast, looked spectacular!

 

Now you have an excuse. Visit family, visit the aquarium, and fit a 35in tire under your truck

 

Omg, the 35 tires are a beast to lift or move, and it will get heavier with wheels! Forget me, they will need an elevator if its going in the bed

 

LOL. Truck has a built in elevator to lift the tire in place

 

Yeah, i figured that out after youtube'ing in, not realizing instructions were on the bag holding the rods

Actually meant the cargo bed area...assuming one could fit under, the other would be in, but ive seen setups with mounts on after market bumpers simialr to jeep mounts, wonder if it would work on a Tundra

 

Lol. It’s a pain. I’m about to pull the trigger on a 2nd spare to put on my bed rack and now that you bring that up... I’m having seconds thoughts haha

 

I need to do a how do you change a tire on a lifted truck thread....to do list for tomorrow

 

I guess it depends what all else you're carrying on where to make room for the second

 

Just the spare on top of the rack. Still need to figure out the details though
