Sorry I didn't wave!

Being a fairly new to Tundra owner for a few months now, I had been waving to other Tundra drivers but I wasn't getting any waves back so I stopped.
Today, for the very first time as I was driving down the road, an older (2nd. Gen maybe gray or black or blue?) Tundra's driver waved.
But sadly I saw it too late as I had not anticipated it so I flew by, no wave from me.
I feel so horrible!
So, if the person who was driving north on Bear Road Liverpool, NY today around 3:15 pm is on this site, I apologize to you.
That does it, I'm starting up again, I promise!

Been trying to get this old fart to wave at me. Seen daily on lunch, 2nd gen, MGM, RCSB. It looks sweet!

 

I feel your pain. I used to do it and no one waved back
It's almost if you don't belong on this forum you don't notice other BA tundras on the road.
I stopped waving and usually wait to see if they wave at me first.

Yup! I saw a white one in the carpool yesterday, lifted white...too far but I wanted to waive.

Hardly see them, I get so excited they must think I’m nuts.

 

I waved and cracked my drivers side window with the hyperbaric. She was jogging down the sidewalk and didn’t wave back either. Wonder why?

 

What I do when I see one

 

The sad face picture coupled with your wolf howling gif right next to it made me chuckle.

 

I try to wave at the dude down the street with a second-generation white DC tundra. That old fart never waves back!

 

My wife thinks I’m “ridiculous” but always the courtesy wave here in CO!

 

In general and all kidding aside, I try to wave at as many people as possible in my neighborhood. Many do not wave back. Not sure if the can see do to reflection? Maybe bad eye sight? Or, just not used to other people being friendly.

On the same note, I’ll say hi or strike up convo at the grocery store and people look at me like I have three heads. Not sure whats going on?

Lots of people on meds? Mind stuck on fakebook mode? Computer head?

 

I thought it was a Southern thing...I get about 25% return. Noticed a guy in a new GMC eyeballing me hard yesterday...eat it up sucker..

 

I get the same look in the check out line. People either don't like to be bothered or something

 

I want to know where I can be this close to huge friendly bears with only a short wire fence between us.

 

That's what the back window is for! Roll it down and wave!

 

Haha me too. My wife is the opposite. She laughs at me because I strike up conversations with random people. Like we’ve been friends for years.

 

Not sure, but I still try to be nice and out going. Sometimes people are so locked in their mind, if you break the social media lock they open up and are quite friendly in return. Its the intial engagement that is whats so weird compared to the ‘old days’.

 

This has happened to me also.

 

I don't wave at the 2nd or 3rd gen guys. That's like if you ride a Harley you don't hang a peace sign at street bikes.

Sunnier has a 1st gen now, welcome to the hood.

 

I think people are so used to being in their little bubble they dont know how to react to friendly banter. Most that ive engaged are so happy i cant get em to shut up. And there are those that shrug and mope along...depends on their mood at the moment..

 

Too any Tundras around here to wave at. End up with carpel tunnel..
