Good job! I love finish work! Do you plan to install the raised panel trim around the 1x4 trim? Here’s a pic of judges paneling I did on our previous home. CDFC9A34-53D6-4848-99A3-705DAD8252BD.jpg

Wasn’t planning on it. I like that but wanted more of a less formal look.

Bathroom I just finished in our basement. Still need glass.

Nice work! I hate to see wood painted also that would look awesome with some clear on it.

My thoughts exactly! I like my cuts to be tight so no caulking is needed. I glued every joint and all the edges. A coat of clear shows the quality of work and the beauty of the wood more.

Looks great! I like your tile choice! Just a small suggestion. Put a high gloss white silicone caulking around the base of the toilet.

I couldn't agree more I didn't even want curtains to cover up the mighters on my casing in my house around the windows. When you do good work you hate to cover it up. I also dabble in some furniture building.
I built all the beds and dressers for myself and my kids.

Scalped the yard and got my winter grass over seeded, doesn’t look like much now but in 14 days it will.

My cocktail tree produced a lime, very happy as it should produce good next year. Did not expect it to bear fruit for 2 years.

Lemon tree got pretty stressed out due to all the work, it is the only thing left from the original yard. But it produced pretty good, will have some ready this week.

Don’t laugh, I fought quite the war with the little bastards, no poison because of dogs. Finally was out on dog poop duty one day, and new hole.:annoyed: Dumped a few nice dog turds down the hole, :anonymous: might of peed in it, covered up hole. Probably did it for 3 weeks with each new hole. It worked 100%, they are all around the outside of my property, never mine.:)

    Flux capacitor!
I’ve done that before on homes. If you have the new flex lines run in your attic versus having them inside the insulated walls. You water will feel more hot in the summer time because your attic space is 100 plus degrees most of the time in the summer. Just a heads up. You don’t run across this when you have your water lines inside the insulated framed walls.

Sad pool. My landscaper piled travertine tile along edge of pool, and then knocked a pile in damaging the finish. Their next step was to get a shit ton of polymetric sand, and travertine dust in it, stained the whole pool. So my 3 year old pool is empty and getting refinished. Been awhile, can’t empty pool when hot here.57E9D802-8254-4D36-80D4-66947889BF69.jpg

I’m not hoping for much. I love living here, but if you want something done, your screwed. At one point the landscaper asked if he was going to get punched in the face, he got an eye roll and I’ll deal with you in the morning. Miss my yankee craftsmanship, totally lost out here. I’ve had builders tell me trimwork is too nice...WTF?

We definitely have a skilled labor shortage in the trades right now. There are still craftsmen around, but they don't seem to be around here...

Posted a few pics a month back of my deck extension project. It is now complete. Really added a new dimension to the backyard and my dogs love the stairs! We'll do another phase next spring with a second retaining wall on the opposite side of the house and most likely a firepit.
