Before someone slams a shopping cart into my door or I hit some trails I need something worthy of taking a decent hit, looks great.

    I've zeroed in on W.N.

Who has them and can you comment on your buying and installation experience?

yep bank account is running low from it..
I shot them a few emails about my first gen tundra.. last week..

Response was excellent even PDF the install manual for me which was nice..

There lead time as of last week was 4 to 6 weeks out.. the thing that killed it for me was the shipping freight charge..

Thanks that's helpful. FWIIW freight on a full height Rogue Squat rack and bars (approx. weight 150lbs) shipped coast to coast for $75 and it was on a pallet, I do not have a loading dock. The price is the price, that's their business. I reckon they could find a better shipping company.

I got ~$100 shipped commercial to a friend's work shop. Then again.. I'm only ~200 miles from White Knuckle's shop.

    Oh one or two.
Freight shipping is determined by a shipping class and dimensional weight and distance as well as the shipping line some are crazy expensive IE anything in south Florida.
For example two pallets at 350lbs one has a lead block and the other has feathers. The pallet with feathers is much larger so it's in a different class and will cost a lot more to ship then the much smaller lead block.

We get a lot of people asking why the freight charges are so high on our Sliders when they bought a bumper that shipped for under $150 from the same state we are in. It all has to do with dimensions. Sliders are 8' to 9' long and weigh more then a bumper when on a pallet it costs more to ship them.

A lot of people don't understand how LTL works they are so use to ground shipping and companies that work shipping into the purchase price. But bumpers, sliders and a lot of truck parts that ship fright hit the bare minimum with LTL so it's hard to get the rates lower.

Freight charges are why 80% of our online orders don't go past the mid west with about 70% being in CA, OR & WA we pretty much have a flat rate of 150 on sliders to anywhere to about TX depending on the line any further and it gets expensive.

I got the best rate from @jlee when I ordered my sliders for my Tacoma. Your prices where I call good some is just plain out there or doing mark ups..

I don't see how these sliders will protect your door from a shopping cart hit. I've been looking at upfitting to some kind of running board/tubes, but maybe these sliders would be a better idea for my 16 Limited.

They stick out a bit further than the furthest point on the door. The sliders also sit higher on the truck as compared to most running boards (including OEM). They'll also protect you in case some guy T-bones your truck soft or hard.

How much further do they stick out? For example, will they prevent someone from smacking the side of the truck when some idiot parks so close to you that their door smacks yours?

Mostly yes -- I say that because there are other factors in place, such as if your truck is lifted or not and if their vehicle is a car, SUV, truck (lifted or not).

Thanks for putting me onto this. I think I may order a set & have them shipped to the local body shop where I've had good work done before & have them do the installation.

Are the sliders welded or bolted onto the frame?

Who bought these White Knuckle sliders? Was it for an access cab? If so, can you post pics and/or tell me about the install. Looks like it uses a couple existing holes in the frame, with more required.... How many more? How did it go?

I had these on my gen 2 and they took a beating.

If you have them ship to a fedex or ups hub instead of your house it cuts the freight almost in half.
